Abstract:
The present invention disclosed a method and system of replacing smart cards. It uses a new identification device (a new SIM) to replace an old one (an old SIM) associated with a user account. The new identification device has an identification number (ICCID). The new identification device is activated in the following manner. The old identification device communicates with an identification-management center through a communication interface (mobile telephone). And the identification-management center recognizes the old identification device. The identification number of the new identification device is sent to the identification-management center through the communication interface. The identification-management center checks the identification number. If the identification number is correct, the user account will be assigned to the new identification device by the identification-management center.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for determining at least one parameter of a fluid in a well are provided. The system has a downhole system deployable into the well, and sensor elements to measure fluid parameter(s) of the fluid in the well. Each of the sensor elements is provided with a base and sensors. The base is positionable on the coiled tubing system about the injection port. The sensors are positionable in the base. Each of the sensors are thermally isolated from each other, and are capable of operating as both a heater to heat the fluid, and as a temperature sensor for measuring a temperature of the fluid. The sensors are operatively interchangeable such that the sensors may selectively heat and measure the temperature of the fluid whereby fluid parameters of the fluid are determined.
Abstract:
Several optical probes useful in downhole applications are provided. A first probe has a tip in the form of a cubical corner with the diagonal of the cubical corner aligned with the axis of the probe. A second probe has a tip formed in a 45° cone. In these designs, light will bounce respectively three times or twice, but still retain the same orientation. To facilitate drainage, the very tip of the probe may be rounded. Both designs also provide a probe with a large numerical aperture and both are useful for detecting reflectance and the holdup of a multiphase fluid. A third probe uses (hemi)spherical or paraboloid probe tip. The third probe tip has a small numerical aperture and is useful for detecting fluorescence and oil velocity. In all three embodiments, the base behind the probe tip may be tapered to facilitate fluid drainage.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for detection of hydrogen sulfide in downhole operations. A downhole tool is provided with a coupon adapted to react at varying degrees to exposure to concentrations of hydrogen sulfide. The downhole tool is positioned in the wellbore with the coupon(s) exposed to downhole fluids. A reaction to a change in the coupon, such as coloration, is used to determine the presence and concentration of hydrogen sulfide.
Abstract:
The present invention provides compositions and methods for inducing cardiomyogenesis in mammalian cells, particularly embryonic stem cells, in vitro and in vivo.
Abstract:
Described is a downhole method and apparatus for detecting hydrogen sulphide in formation fluids produced in a hydrocarbon well. The sensor system is located within or in communication with an extraction chamber used to extract hydrogen sulphide in a gaseous state from the formation fluid and preferably equipped with renewable sensing elements.
Abstract:
A polyolefin elastomer possessing a unique combination of properties, i.e., high molecular weight (Mw), high Mooney viscosity (ML1+4 at 125° C.), low polydispersity index (Mw/Mn) and low glass transition temperature (Tg), is obtained by a polymerization process employing a particular type of a metallocene catalyst. The polyolefin elastomer is useful for manufacturing a variety of products including rubber articles such as hoses, belts and moldings, polymer blends containing one or more other hydrocarbon polymers and lubricating oils in which the elastomer functions as a viscosity modifier. Also disclosed is a cocatalyst for activating the metallocene procatalyst employing a specific molar ratio of the components of the cocatalyst to the transition metal of the procatalyst.
