    摘要: Disclosed is a template transfer assembly and method that features a template transfer substrate, and a template having first and second sides, with the first side facing away from the template transfer substrate and the second side facing the template transfer substrate and having mold pattern formed thereon. Polymerized imprint material is disposed between the second side and the template transfer substrate to fixedly attach the template to the template transfer substrate. The method of transferring an imprint lithography template includes dispensing a selected volume of imprinting fluid onto the template transfer substrate, placing the template upon the selected volume; and converting the imprinting fluid to solid imprint material. The selected volume of imprint material is of sufficient quantity to fixedly attach the template to the template transfer substrate while maintaining a space between the mold and the template transfer substrate.

    摘要: The apparatus and method for vacuum forming a film employs a vacuum forming apparatus to form a raw film material into a patterned film material having a concavo-convex pattern. An apparatus for vacuum forming a film comprises a hollow cylindrical roller having an inner surface, an outer surface, and a plurality of vacuum passageways defined therein between the inner and outer surfaces. A mesh layer is disposed around the outer surface of the roller, forming an intermediate layer between the roller and an outer forming layer disposed around the backing layer. The forming layer is a sheet layer of a material having a having a pattern-forming array of apertures defined therethrough. A vacuum applied to an area of the inner surface of the roller draws areas of a heated film material inward against the mesh layer, forming the film material into a concavo-convex pattern.

    摘要: The present invention includes a conforming template for patterning liquids disposed on substrates. The template includes a body having opposed first and second surfaces. The first surface includes a plurality of recessed regions with a patterning region being disposed between adjacent recessed regions. Specifically, the recessed regions define flexure regions about which each patterning region may move independent of the remaining patterning regions of the template. In one embodiment the template is mounted to a fluid chamber having an inlet and a throughway. The template is connected to the throughway and the inlet is connected to a fluid source to facilitate deformation of the template to conform to a profile of a surface adjacent thereto.
