Abstract: A first fin is formed on a first inside wall surface to protrude therefrom. The first fin exchanges heat between fluid and the first inside wall surface. A first fluid passage is divided between a first region that is a space where the first fin is arranged, and a second region that is a space where the first fin is not arranged. Fluid flows from the second region into the first region. The first fin includes an inflow port through which fluid flows into the first region, and an outflow port through which fluid flows out of the first region. The first fin is formed to extend from the inflow port to the outflow port. An area of the inflow port is larger than a cross-sectional area of the first fluid passage when viewed in a flow direction of fluid.

Abstract: A battery pack includes battery stacks each formed of battery cells stacked on one another and bus bars disposed at a first end side of the battery stack for connection between electrode terminals of the battery cells, a battery pack case housing the battery stacks, a fan device disposed inside the battery pack case for circulating fluid within the battery pack case and a spacer disposed between respective adjacent battery cells to guide the fluid to flow in a direction from the first end side to a second end side opposite to the first end side along lateral sides of the battery cells. Each of the battery cells includes a battery cell case as an outer shell thereof that includes an exposed portion having a predetermined exposed length by which the battery cell case projects from an end at the first end side of the spacer.

Abstract: A control module is arranged side by side with a battery module. The control module includes a bus bar by which the battery module and an electric load are electrically connected to each other; a switch by which an electrical connection between the bus bar and the electric load is switched on and off; a current sensor by which a current of the bus bar is detected; and a shielding part. The current sensor detects current passing through the bus par by converting, to an electrical signal, a magnetic field generated by the current passing though the bus bar. The switch generates a magnetic field to switch over connections between the bus bar and the electric load based on the generated magnetic field. The shielding part is arranged between the current sensor and the switch.

Abstract: A control module is arranged side by side with a battery module. The control module include a bus bar by which the battery module and an electric load are electrically connected to each other, and a switch by which an electrical connection between the bus bar and the electric load is switched on and off. The control module further includes a current sensor by which a current of the bus bar is detected; a control unit into which an electric signal of the current sensor is inputted, and by which connection switching of the switch is controlled; and a connection terminal by which the current sensor and the control unit are electrically connected to each other. A connection portion between the connection terminal and the current sensor is more closely disposed at a side of the control unit than a connection portion between the bus bar and the switch.

Abstract: A battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells, case (housing), circulation path, and blower. The circulation path includes battery paths, inflow side space, outflow side space, and a path along the housing. The battery paths are formed by gaps between adjacent battery cells. The inflow side space distributes fluid to the inlets of the battery paths. The outflow side space gathers fluid from the outlets of the battery paths. The path along the housing is a path that is different from the inflow side space and outflow side space and extends along one or more inner surfaces of the case. The circulation path is formed such that at least one of a flow velocity of the fluid in the inflow side space and a flow velocity of the fluid in the outflow side space is slower than a flow velocity of the fluid in the path along the housing.

Abstract: A battery cooling apparatus includes a case for housing battery cells and a fan device disposed in the case for blowing air through a circulation passage to cool the battery cells. The case includes a discharge passage which makes communication between inside and outside of the case to allow part of the air circulating through the circulation passage to leak to outside the case. The fan device includes a first inflow passage and a second inflow passage. The first inflow passage, which is part of the circulation passage, is provided to allow the air having cooled the battery cells to be sucked into the fan device. The second inflow passage makes communication between the outside of the case and the fan device to allow air outside the case to be sucked into the circulation passage by suction force of the fan device.

Abstract: A power source apparatus includes a battery module including a plurality of battery cells, a housing forming a housing chamber to house and arrange a plurality of the battery modules in parallel, a blower to blow air, an inter-module path formed between the battery modules adjacent to each other; and an inter-cell path formed between the battery cells adjacent to each other. The housing includes an intake portion to take the air into the housing chamber, and a sending portion to send the air from the housing chamber. The inter-module path has a first inter-module path serving as a path into which the air is introduced. The sending portion is separated, adjacent to at least one battery module, from the first inter-module path such that the air flows in the inter-cell paths of a plurality of the battery modules arranged next to the first inter-module path and adjacent each other.

Abstract: An inner case affixes single cells and has multiple individual storage chambers. A fluid drive device draws a fluid after passing through the individual storage chambers to form a circulation flow. A beam supports the inner case from the lower side. The inner case has an inlet port into which the fluid flows and an outlet port through which the fluid flows out. A downstream chamber, which communicates with the outlet port, is formed in an interior of the inner case between the individual storage chambers that face each other at a distance. The downstream side chamber is connected to a lower wall side passage partitioned by the beams. The fluid flowing out from the outlet port to the downstream side chamber passes through the lower wall side passage and is drawn into an intake port of the fluid drive device.
