Abstract: A vehicle includes wheels, brakes, and a controller. The wheels are configured to propel the vehicle. The brakes are configured to generate a braking torque at the wheels. The controller is programed to, in response to (i) a commanded braking torque and (ii) a relative jounce between two of the wheels exceeding a threshold, operate the brakes to increase the braking torque to less than the commanded braking torque. The controller is further programed to, in response to (i) the commanded braking torque and (ii) a droop of at least one of the wheels exceeding a threshold, operate the brakes to increase the braking torque to less than the commanded braking torque.

Abstract: While operating a host vehicle in a lane, a target vehicle is detected entering the lane in front of the vehicle. A trajectory of the target vehicle is predicted based on sensor data. Upon determining that the target vehicle will pass through the lane based on the predicted trajectory, the host vehicle is operated based on determining a presence or an absence of a lead vehicle. Upon determining that the target vehicle will remain in the lane based on the predicted trajectory, the host vehicle is operated with the target vehicle as the lead vehicle.

Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for avoiding certain undesirable vehicle operations when a vehicle having a dual vehicle propulsion system is parked inside a confined space. For example, it is desirable to avoid operating an internal combustion engine of a hybrid electric vehicle when the hybrid electric vehicle is parked inside a garage because the internal combustion engine may produce undesirable gaseous emissions, particularly during start up. In an example embodiment, this issue is addressed by a computer of the vehicle defining a geofence that encompasses the garage. The computer disables the operation of the internal combustion engine when the hybrid electric vehicle is located inside the geofence but allows operation of an electric motor of the hybrid electric vehicle for moving the vehicle out of the geofence. The computer enables operation of the internal combustion engine when the vehicle has moved outside the geofence.

Abstract: A vehicle determines that it is within a predefined proximity of a location for which an alternative tire pressure different from a current vehicle tire pressure has been defined. The vehicle changes a tire pressure monitoring system setting to utilize the alternative tire pressure as an alert threshold, responsive to determining that the vehicle is within the predefined proximity. Also, the vehicle determines that the vehicle has traveled more than a predefined distance from the location and, responsive to the vehicle having traveled more than a predefined distance, reverts the tire pressure monitoring system to use base settings for alert thresholds.

Abstract: A vehicle includes an axle having left and right wheels. The vehicle further includes left and right torque-vector control devices each having an actuator with a released position, a fully actuated position, and a plurality of intermediate positions. A vehicle controller is programmed to, in response to the vehicle turning and one of the actuators being actuated, command different torques to the left and right wheels to produce torque vectoring between the wheels, wherein a difference between the torques commanded to the wheels increases as the actuator moves toward the fully actuated position and decreases as the actuator moves toward the fully released position.

Abstract: A load-monitoring system includes a vehicle processor and a camera mounted in a trailer. The vehicle, via the processor, displays a first image of a trailer load, received from a trailer-mounted camera and receives selection of a monitoring point on the image, via a touch-sensitive user interface displaying the image or other selection mechanism. The vehicle also receives selection of a fixed point on the image, via the user interface. If the monitoring point moves more than a threshold amount, relative to the fixed point, for example, in subsequent images captured by the camera, the vehicle alerts the driver.
