摘要: A rule-based programming language may be devised for programming an entity in an environment. Computer systems may therefore be configured to program the entity with at least one rule comprising at least zero language conditions representing an action condition, at least one language verb representing an action, and at least zero language verb parameters representing an action object. The computer system may also be configured to facilitate entry by a user of a rule set according to the rule-based programming language by receiving user selections of language conditions, language verbs, and language verb parameters. By facilitating the programming by users of entities within environments, the computer system may facilitate individuals (such as non-technical individuals, aspiring programmers, and children) in understanding programming concepts, encourage the development of experience with computer programming, and permit the generation of useful computer programs by non-proficient programmers.

摘要: A composite electromagnetic absorber provides increased EMR absorption while being thinner and/or lighter than prior art EMR absorbers. To accomplish this, synthetic dielectric materials are combined with either synthetic magnetic materials or magnetically lossy materials in such a way that the permittivity and permeability of the composite material are substantially matched over the desired range of frequency. The match in the permittivity and permeability allows the majority of the electromagnetic fields to enter the material where the electric and magnetic loss components absorb the electromagnetic energy.

摘要: A method and system for configuring computers to connect to networks using network connection objects. For each connection to a network, configuration information for connecting to that network is maintained within a connection object. Such configuration information may include device, protocol, and other computer and network property information along with binding information therefor. Connection objects may be stored as files or the like independent of a running network configuration, and be applied to the running configuration to change the network configuration. Also included is a process to reconcile networking components identified in a connection object with those available on a given system.

摘要: A synthetic magnetodielectric composite material for absorbing electromagnetic radiation has a sheet of fabric having first and second surfaces. The fabric is formed of an insulating material. Magnetically permeable thread is disposed within the fabric. The magnetically permeable thread comprises a material having a permeability substantially greater than the permeability of free space. The fabric is impregnated with resin. The magnetically permeable thread is configured to provide predetermined permittivity and permeability within a selected frequency range, so as to provide desired absorption/transmission of electromagnetic radiation.

摘要: An EMR-absorbing anechoic chamber absorber (22, 42) uses a block of honeycomb material with a lossy material, such as carbon, applied to the sheets (4) of material from which the honeycomb is made to create wedges (36) or pyramids (44) of lossy material. Preferably, the lossy material is applied to the sheets of material in a repeating wedge-shaped pattern (16) to create the wedges of lossy material within the solid rectangular block of honeycomb material. Parallel, wedge-shaped grooves (43) are formed in the block of honeycomb material to create the pyramids of lossy material. If the lossy material is applied to the entire sheet, a set of parallel, wedge-shaped grooves are formed in the block of honeycomb material to create wedges of lossy material; two sets of parallel, wedge-shaped grooves are formed at 90.degree. angles to one another to create pyramids of lossy material.

摘要: A conductive woven material (2) being conductive, and preferably equally conductive, in all directions is made using woven fabric (4) having conductive weft fibers (10). The material is produced by cutting the woven fabric at a first, acute angle (19) to the side edges (12, 14) to produce trapezoidally-shaped cut fabric pieces (18). The cut fabric pieces are then reoriented so that the former side edges of the fabric are placed to abut one another to create a reconstructed fabric (20) in which the weft fibers are at acute angle (22) to the length of the reconstructed fabric. Two layers of reconstructed fabric (24, 26) are placed one upon the other, with one upside down, so that the conductive weft fibers are at an angle, preferably 90.degree., to one another so to create the conductive woven material. The conductive woven material can be used to form, for example, conductive laminates or conductive honeycomb material.

摘要: In embodiments of mobile computer device binding feedback, an application interface for a device application is displayed on a first display that is integrated in a dual-display mobile device. The application interface can also be displayed on a second display that is integrated in the dual-display mobile device. Binding position data is received from a binding system that movably couples the first display to the second display. Application context data that is associated with the device application is also received. Feedback can then be generated based on the binding position data and the application context data, where the feedback can be generated as audio feedback, video feedback, display feedback, and/or haptic feedback.
