    摘要: A lower cost differential gear assembly capable of inputting driving force through a differential gear, whose teeth have sufficient strength is provided. To achieve the object, the differential gear is constructed by engaging a gear part provided with teeth at equal intervals on one of its perimeter surfaces, and a support part pivotally supported by right and left axles through engagement of a spline. Accordingly, the gear part can be formed from a high strength material and the support part can be formed from a lower cost material.

    摘要: A bi-directional overrunning clutch comprising an input gear, a pair of hubs, and a roller assembly is provided. Each hub is engaged to an end of one of a pair of shaft segments of a primary drive axle. The roller assembly is disposed within the input gear and about at least a portion of each hub. The roller assembly includes spring pins, extending from the roller assembly, with ball locks adapted to engage detents on the surface of each hub, so as to form spring pin engagements between the roller assembly and the hubs. In operation, rotation of the input gear causes rotation of the roller assembly. Thereafter, rotation of the roller assembly causes rotation of the hubs via the spring pin engagements. The spring pins, however, are generally adapted to disengage the spring pin engagements when one of the hubs rotates faster than the other hub.

    摘要: A vehicle is installed with an integral transaxle apparatus constructed so that a single housing contains left and right axles, a driving hydrostatic transmission (HST) having a variable displacement first hydraulic pump and a first hydraulic motor fluidly connected with each other, a steering HST having a variable displacement second hydraulic pump and a variable displacement second hydraulic motor fluidly connected with each other, and a differential unit differentially connecting the axles with each other so as to be driven regularly or reversely by the output of the driving HST and to differentially drive the axles while receiving the output of the steering HST, wherein the first hydraulic pump receives power of a prime mover and has a first movable swash plate, and the second hydraulic pump receives power of the prime mover independently of the first hydraulic pump and has a second movable swash plate. The vehicle is also provided with driving operating means for slanting operation of the first movable swash plate for switching the travelling direction between forward and backward and for changing the travelling speed, and steering operating means for slanting operation of the second movable swash plate so as to determine the leftward and rightward cornering angle. The second hydraulic motor has a third movable swash plate interlocking with the driving operating means so that the slanting direction of the third movable swash plate is changed oppositely with respect to its neutral position according to the travelling direction switching operation of the driving operating means, whereby the vehicle turns laterally in the same direction of leftward and rightward steering operation of the steering operating means whether the vehicle travels forward or backward.

The cover, the hydraulic motor with the movable swash plate, the motor control mechanism and the hydraulic oil port constitute an assembly unit, which is detachably attached to the transaxle casing so that, by covering the opening with the cover, the hydraulic motor is disposed in the transaxle casing so as to be drivingly connected to the differential gear unit.

    摘要: A transmission assembly adapted to be mounted on a front of a vehicle axle casing as a substitute for a hydrostatic transmission comprises a transmission casing (1) and a drive shaft (2) at a high level, a speed-change shaft (4) at a low level, and an intermediate shaft (3) at a level intermediate between the drive and change shafts. These shafts extend within the transmission casing axially of this casing. The intermediate shaft is located aside in a direction across the casing. A clutch (5) is disposed on the drive shaft at an axial mid portion of this shaft, and a hollow shaft (6) which is driven to rotate by the drive shaft through the clutch is disposed on the drive shaft at one axial side of the clutch. A first mechanical speed-change mechanism (7) is disposed between the hollow shaft and intermediate shaft, whereas a second mechanical speed-change mechanism is disposed between the intermediate shaft and change shaft. Configuration of the transmission casing may be simplified, while the number of change ratios obtainable is greatly increased.

    摘要: In a vehicle transmission assembly comprising a transmission casing (15) which supports axles (16) of forcedly driven rear wheels (12) and includes therein a rear-PTO shaft (18) and mid-PTO shaft (19), first input shaft (28) of a lower level and second input shaft (27) of a higher level for transmitting power into the transmission casing are provided such that the first input shaft is located aside in a direction across the casing. The first input shaft is connected drivingly to the wheel axles through a change speed gearing (31) disposed at a relatively high level, differential gearing (32) and final speed-reduction meshing gears (72, 73). A PTO-clutch (40) is disposed on the rear of the transmission casing between a drive shaft (38), co-axial with and coupled to the second input shaft, and a hollow clutch shaft (39) mounted rotatably on the drive shaft. The clutch shaft is connected drivingly to the respective PTO-shafts through a PTO-shaft drive assembly which is disposed at a rear end portion within the transmission casing and includes a PTO-selecting clutch (47). A compactness of the transmission assembly and transmission casing is assured owing to the arrangement of change speed gearing (31) and PTO-clutch (41).

    摘要: An axle driving apparatus comprises a housing. The housing contains a hydrostatic transmission, a differential unit driven by the hydrostatic transmission, a pair of axles mutually differentially connected through the differential unit, and a restricting mechanism for selectively restricting differential motion of the axles by manual operation. The differential unit comprises a ring gear serving as an input gear and a pair of bevel gears which can be differentially rotated by rotation of the ring gear. The restricting mechanism engages one of the bevel gears with the ring gear. If a pair of differential side gears fixed on the respective axles serve as the bevel gears, the restricting mechanism engages one of the bevel gear to the ring gear through a claw clutch or a friction clutch.
