摘要:
A catheter device for an optical coherence tomography apparatus is configured to enhance the resolution of the cross-sectional image in the azimuthal direction. The catheter device includes a drive shaft driven to rotate in a catheter sheath, an optical fiber in the drive shaft and driven to rotate with the drive shaft, and an optical component attached to a distal portion of the optical fiber. The catheter device emits light, transmitted in the optical fiber, into a body cavity through the optical component. A surface on the optical path of the optical component is a curved surface facing the drive shaft direction or the azimuthal direction to ensure that, when light emitted from the optical component is radiated into the body cavity via the catheter sheath, the difference between the diameter of the radiated light in the drive axis direction and the azimuthal direction is reduced.

The object of the present invention is to provide a production method of a high molecular weight aromatic polycarbonate containing a reduced amount of a high melting point product, and having less thermal history received and excellent hue by a melt process. The present invention relates to a production method of an aromatic polycarbonate, characterized in that in producing an aromatic polycarbonate using an aromatic dihydroxy compound and a carbonic diester as raw materials and using plural reactors, a molten reactant temperature T1 (° C.) in at least one reactor A and a molten reactant temperature T2 (° C.) in a reactor B subsequent to the reactor A are satisfied with the relationship of T2

An optical pickup is provided which is capable of minimizing an astigmatism thereof with a simple configuration. The optical pickup 6 includes a collimate lens 16 for transferring optical beams outputted from a laser diode 11 to parallel light, and an objective lens 18 for collecting the optical beams transferred to parallel light with the collimate lens 16 and applying the optical beams to an optical disk 50, wherein mounting angles of the collimate lens 16 and the objective lens 18 are adjusted so that astigmatisms of the collimate lens 16 and the objective lens 18 may be offset by each other. Thus the astigmatism of the optical pickup 6 can be minimized with a simple configuration without need for separately providing means of correcting aberration.

A printed-wiring substrate 1 includes internal dielectric resin layers 12 and 14. A main-surface-side external dielectric resin layer 13 is formed on the internal dielectric resin layer 12 such that the surface thereof serves as a substrate main-surface 1A. A back-surface-side external dielectric resin layer 15 is formed on the internal dielectric resin layer 14 such that the surface thereof serves as a substrate back-surface 1B. A surface 12A of the main-surface-side internal dielectric resin layer 12 and a surface 14A of the back-surface-side internal dielectric resin layer 14 are roughened. The substrate main-surface 1A and the substrate back-surface 1B are roughened such that surface roughness thereof is lower than that of the surfaces 12A and 14A.

An objective lens for an endoscope includes a front lens of negative power, an aperture stop, and a rear lens group of positive power in this order from the object side. At least one surface of the front lens group and/or the rear lens group is a compound aspherical lens made of a glass lens and a transparent layer applied to the glass lens surface. A surface of the transparent layer farther from the glass lens is an aspherical surface. The refractive index n of the glass lens to which the transparent layer is applied is more than 1.65 (n>1.65).

摘要:
Bombesin is an amphibian peptide that has a structure closely related to that of several mammalian peptides, including Gastrin Releasing Peptide (GRP) and Neuromedins B and C. Bombesin, GRP and related peptides exert their in vivo effects by binding to specific receptors present on cells of the gastrointestinal tract, the central nervous system, and tumors. The invention relates to novel bombesin derivatives which act as bombesin receptor antagonists by blocking the binding of bombesin, GRP or related peptides to cellular receptors. By blocking the binding of bombesin, GRP and related peptides to cellular receptors on cancer cells, these antagonists inhibit the growth of tumor cells that respond to the growth-promoting action of bombesin. These antagonists are expected to block the binding of bombesin, GRP or related peptides to similar receptors on cells in the gastrointestinal tract or the central nervous system. Thus, these antagonists have therapeutic use in the treatment or prevention of conditions mediated by bombesin, GRP or related peptides, including cancer and gastrointestinal disorders such as peptic ulcer, pancreatitis, and feeding disorders.

A non-metallic coreless twist-tie is formed by melting polymeric material, extruding the material in an elongated form, cooling the material, then drawing the material at a rate of more than about 2.5 times. The tie can include glass beads. The polymer is preferably formed from polymeric resin having a degree of crystallization of about 10% to 60% at a crystallized temperature range of about 100.degree. C. to 250.degree. C. and can also include a quantity of fine glass beads. The resulting tie can be twisted and untwisted many times without breakage, is suitable for use in microwave ovens and is simpler to construct than multicomponent ties.
