Abstract:
The state of a prescribed internal column address signal bit is selectively fixed according to a mode switch circuit. A specific row address signal bit is transmitted instead of a column address signal bit under the control of the mode switch circuit. Thus, a semiconductor memory device having a plurality of storage capacities and address spaces is realized with a single chip structure.
Abstract:
A video camera wherein the number of times that an output signal from a swing sensor reaches or exceeds a threshold value is counted, and based on the resulting counted value, the video camera is judged as being in a photographing state or not, the recording operation being stopped if the video camera is judged to be not in a photographing state. When the counted value has reached a predetermined value, the operator of the video camera is notified of a faulty photographing condition. Furthermore, it is judged, based on the detection result of the swing sensor, whether the video camera is in a misrecording operation; if the video camera is judged to be in a misrecording operation, the recording operation is stopped, and then, the recording tape is rewound to the start position of the misrecording.

The solid preparation of the invention is prepared by dissolving 3-[3-(6-Benzoyloxy-3-cyano-2-pyridyloxycarbonyl)benzoyl]-1-ethoxymethyl-5-fluorouracil (hereinafter referred to as "BOF-A2") and a water-soluble polymer in a organic solvent completely, followed by forming preparation of amorphous powder prepared by removing the organic solvent. The solid preparation is useful to enhance solubility of BOF-A2 and to accomplish rapid absorption of BOF-A2 through the alimentary canal.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing a continuous and precise measurement of the number of soot particles emitted in the exhaust gas of a diesel engine. A pair of electrodes is provided in the exhaust gas flow and a voltage is applied across the electrodes so as to develop an electrical current across the electrodes indicative of the conductivity, and therefore the quantity, of the soot particles in the exhaust gas. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, the electrodes are located in a diluting conduit provided with a pump for providing a constant volume of diluted exhaust gas between the electrodes. In accordance with another embodiment of the invention, the electrodes are located in the exhaust pipe of the diesel engine.
Abstract:
An opto-acoustic gas analyzer has a black body light source, a chopper in the path of the light emitted from the light source for intermittently intercepting the light from the light source, a positive interference filter in the path of the light for filtering out light other than the wavelengths of light absorbed by the gas being analyzed, and an opto-acoustic detector which receives the filtered light and through which the gas to be analyzed is passed. A pressure change detector provided is provided in the opto-acoustic detector for detecting pressure changes in the gas and producing an electric signal corresponding such changes.
Abstract:
A combined motor and rotational cell for use in an apparatus for measuring components in a gas colorimeter, smoke meter, etc. by utilizing light absorption or fluorescence. The combined motor and rotational cell has a motor with a plurality of magnetic poles around the periphery of thereof, at least one diametrically extending partition wall extending across the hollow interior for defining at least two compartments in the rotor, and optically transparent windows on the outside of the motor closing the compartments. A plate-shaped chopper is provided on one side of the rotor having a plurality of apertures therein equidistantly spaced around the chopper. A casing surrounds the rotor and supports the rotor shaft in bearings and has a plurality of coils around the inside of the peripheral wall opposed to the magnetic poles on the rotor. Apertures are provided in the opposite end walls of the casing aligned with the compartments in the rotor for passing light through the casing and the rotor.
Abstract:
An imaging system controller (5) outputs a control signal (VC). The control signal (VC) gives a command to output driving clocks (φVn, φHm) of an imaging element (1) in a signal transmission period, and a command to suspend output of the clocks (φVn, φHm) in an idle period subsequent to the signal transmission period. The length of the idle period is a multiple of the length of the signal transmission period by a natural number. The imaging system controller (5) periodically repeats output of the control signal (VC) giving these commands a number of times corresponding to the number of horizontal lines of the imaging element (1). In response to the commands of the control signal (VC), a timing generator (2) generates and outputs the clocks (φVn, φHm), and suspends generation and output of the same. An imaging device (10) thereby intermittently drives the imaging element (1), to generate and output a picked-up image signal (V2).
Abstract:
An electronic coupon system adds identification information for specifying users to electronic coupons every time electronic coupons are distributed among users, and when the electronic coupons are used, the identification information added to the electronic coupons are acquired as a distribution history of the electronic coupons distributed among the users. A contribution level of each user is calculated by using the acquired distribution history.
Abstract:
An image equipment (40) includes an LSI (208) to control itself, and an interface (31) to connect with a ubiquitous image module unit (42) including a ubiquitous image module (12). The ubiquitous image module (12) included in the ubiquitous image module unit (42) connected to the image equipment (40) controls the LSI (208) included in the image equipment (40), so that it becomes possible to realize a new function which the image equipment (40) itself has not had. By this, it becomes unnecessary to develop a new LSI for expanding a function.
Abstract:
A projection-type liquid crystal display device having a light source for emitting a luminous flux; a liquid crystal light valve for modulating the luminous flux emitted by the light source means; a liquid crystal drive circuit for applying the common voltage to the common electrode and the video signal to the source electrode; a projection lens for projecting the luminous flux modulated by the liquid crystal light valve onto a screen; a liquid crystal temperature detector for detecting temperature in the vicinity of the liquid crystal light valve; and a controller. The controller controls the common voltage and/or the source voltage on the basis of values detected by the liquid crystal temperature detector in such a way that fluctuation in the light transmittance of the liquid crystal light valve means is reduced.
