Abstract:
In the production of resist images by application of a radiation-sensitive positive-working resist layer based on degradable polymers onto a substrate, imagewise exposure of the resist layer to actinic radiation and removal of the irradiated parts of the layer with development of the resist image, the radiation-sensitive resist layer used is composed of poly(diacetylenes), in particular soluble ones. Preferably, the radiation-sensitive resist layer based on the poly(diacetylenes) contains sensitizers which can be activated by actinic radiation and which, after being activated, induce or accelerate molecular degradation of the poly(diacetylenes). Dry film resists comprise a temporary dimensionally stable base and a radiation-sensitive resist layer which is applied on the base, can be degraded by exposure to actinic radiation and is based on poly(diacetylenes), in particular soluble ones, with or without a cover sheet on top of the said resist layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mixer device for distributing and evaporating a liquid introduced into a gas flow, in particular into an exhaust-gas flow, wherein the mixer device comprises at least one mixer vane (14a) which influences the flow direction of the gas flow. The mixer vane has a first vane (14a′) portion and a second vane portion (14a″) which are arranged in series in the flow direction of the gas flow, which vane portions are designed so that the first vane portion diverts the gas flow approaching the mixer device such that said gas flow has a first swirl component imparted thereto, and so that the second vane portion subsequently diverts the gas flow such that said gas flow has a second swirl component imparted thereto, wherein the first swirl component and the second swirl component oppose one another.
Abstract:
For determining a minimum/maximum of a plurality of binary values a bit position in the plurality of binary values is determined subsequent to which all bit values are the same. From the plurality of binary values those binary values are selected the bit values of which at the bit position determined in the preceding step and all subsequent positions, if any, has a predetermined value. The preceding steps are then repeated until only one binary value remains which is provided as the minimum or maximum.
Abstract:
Alkali metal silanolates are prepared by a process in which alcohol and water are removed from an alkali metal silanolate hydrolysis mixture in two steps, the second removal step occurring at a pressure lower than the first removal step.
Abstract:
A method and system for gas sensor drift correction is disclosed, appropriate for use in a system placed in an environment that with some regularity reaches a background gas concentration. A background gas concentration range is defined. When the gas sensor readings drop below the background gas concentration range for at least a defined short dwell time, an upwards calibration adjustment is effected. When the gas sensor readings stay above the background gas concentration range for a defined long dwell time (longer than the maximum expected interval between excursions to the background gas concentration), a downwards calibration adjustment is effected.
Abstract:
The present invention includes an apparatus and method for identifying and connecting mobile devices by scanning a tag associated with a location, place, or other information.
Abstract:
An exhaust gas system for combustion engines is provided having at least one exhaust gas duct, in particular an exhaust pipe, and having an exhaust gas treatment device such as an oxidation catalyst, an SCR catalyst or a diesel particulate filter downstream of the exhaust gas duct, wherein, to improve the efficiency of downstream gas treatment devices, at least one secondary flow duct, in particular a secondary flow pipe, is provided in the exhaust gas duct with a cross-section reduced with respect to the exhaust gas duct which imparts coerced guidance of some of the exhaust gas flow differing from the actual exhaust gas flow.
Abstract:
A mounting and dismounting device for cylindrical bodies comprises a fixing element, a moving element, and a buckling element. The fixing element connects to the moving element on both sides to form a hole. The cylindrical body is then inserted into the hole. A buckling part of the buckling element pivotally connects to the fixing element. One lifts a lifting part for the buckling element to urge against the cylindrical body in the hole. By lifting the lifting part, the cylindrical body can be mounted or dismounted.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a lubricating oil composition with good frictional properties, the composition having a lubricating oil and at least one additive having friction-reducing properties. The additive with friction-reducing properties is a block copolymer having hydrophobic segments P and polar segments D. The hydrophobic segments are obtained by polymerization of monomer compositions having a) between 0 and 40 wt. %, in relation to the weight of the monomer compositions for producing the hydrophobic segments, of at least one ethylenically unsaturated ester compound of formula (I), in which R represents hydrogen or methyl, R1 represents a linear or branched alkyl radical having between 1 and 5 carbon atoms, and R2 and R3 independently represent hydrogen or a group of formula —COOR′, in which R′ represents hydrogen or an alkyl group having between 1 and 5 carbon atoms.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of ester group-including polymers having at least one nonpolar segment P and at least one polar segment D, where the polar segment D includes at least 8 repeating units, and the proportion of dispersing repeating units in the polar segment D is at least 30% by weight based on the weight of the polar segment D, as antifatigue additive in lubricants.
