    摘要: A discharge lamp lighting circuit adapted to control a transient power corresponding to a cooling condition or a light-out time of a discharge lamp without using a capacitor or storage device having a large capacity, thereby reducing a cost and a size. Power control in a steady state of a discharge lamp is carried out in response to a detection signal for a voltage and a current in the discharge lamp, and a power to be transiently applied to the discharge lamp is controlled before a transition to the power control. The power to be transiently applied is set to be higher than the power in the steady state, thereby promoting light emission of the discharge lamp. An increment in the transient applied power which exceeds the power in the steady state is specified corresponding to a voltage applied to the discharge lamp, a variation in the voltage and a time elapsed from a time that the discharge lamp is lighted up or a start of an operation of a lighting circuit. More specifically, a dedicated circuit for detecting the light-out time of the discharge lamp is eliminated to utilize only detection information required for the power control of the discharge lamp.

A delay time generator circuit 31 is provided for a failure detection/determination circuit 22 such that the foregoing functions are prohibited until a predefined time period is elapsed after the time switch means SW1, SW2 are substantially simultaneously switched on to cause the lighting circuit to start operating.

A control circuit 7 detects an anomaly occurring in the discharge lamp or the lighting circuit and stops supplying power to the discharge lamp 8 and also lights another light source as an alternative light source to the discharge lamp 8 or notifies a driver of occurrence of the anomaly. An internal state monitoring circuit 26 is provided for monitoring the operation state of the control circuit itself and when an anomaly about the control circuit 7 is detected, the alternative light source is lighted or the driver is notified of occurrence of the anomaly.

    摘要: A discharge lamp lighting circuit 1 has a DC power supply circuit 3 for outputting a DC voltage and a DC-AC conversion circuit 4 for converting the output voltage of the DC power supply circuit 3 into an AC voltage and then supplying the AC voltage to a discharge lamp 6. To light the discharge lamp 6, a predetermined period of time over which the polarity of the voltage supplied from the DC-AC conversion circuit 4 to the discharge lamp 6 is defined as either positive or negative and is provided before the discharge lamp 6 is lighted. The voltage polarity is forcibly inverted to limit the duration of the period so as not to exceed the predetermined time. The circuit reduces costs and prevents short life and degradation of a discharge lamp by placing a time limit on the duration of the period over which the supply voltage polarity is temporarily fixed before the discharge lamp is lighted.

Four vertical balance weights 11A, 11B, 11C and 11D are disposed on different positions on a rear face 10, respectively. The first and fourth vertical balance weights 11A and 11D of larger specific gravity are provided on a toe or heel side of the rear face 10A. In the center of the rear face 10A are provided the second and third vertical balance weights 11B and 11C of smaller specific gravity. Through the combination of the balance weights 11A, 11B, 11C and 11D of various shapes and specific gravity, the weight balance of the head 1 can be freely adjusted. Also, the position of the center of gravity of the head 1 can be positioned backwards, thus enlarging the sweet area. In addition, as the denser balance weights 11A and 11D are provided near the toe 7 or the heel 6, the toe 7 and heel 6 of the head 1 can be weighted.

Another through-hole 35 is formed in the projection 34, into which is pressed a taper pin 36 to be anchored there. As a result, the balance weight 31 is securely fixed to the head body 16. Unlike the fixing by caulking a balance weight itself, the invention does not need the extensibility of the material of the weight 31. Accordingly, tungsten-based materials, for example, are also made usable.

    摘要: A safety control power window device which reliably detects nipping of a finger by a window and sash and which is little influenced by variations of motor characteristics of the motor used as a drive source of the power window device. The window position and a thrust pressure acting on the rotary shaft of the motor providing the force for opening and closing the window are detected. Reference pressures for detecting nipping are set according to the window position detected. By comparing the detected pressure and the reference pressures, nipping by the window is detected. Since nipping and the window position are not detected using the drive current of the motor, accurate safety control is realized, eliminating influences caused by variations of the characteristics of the motor.
