    摘要: An ink-jet head includes a channel unit which includes a plurality of pressure chambers, a vibration plate stacked on the channel unit, and a piezoelectric material layer arranged on the vibration plate. The piezoelectric material layer includes a first portion functioning as a piezoelectric actuator, and a second portion functioning as a piezoelectric transformer which amplifies a driving signal to be supplied to the piezoelectric actuator. Accordingly, it is possible to realize a small-size ink-jet head with a built-in piezoelectric amplifier.

    摘要: Ultra-fine particles are jetted from a nozzle to be deposited on a substrate via a mask which is plate-shaped and in which an opening pattern is formed, thereby forming on the substrate a thin film having a shape corresponding to the opening pattern. The mask has a first area, a second area which surrounds the first area and defines an opening between the first area and the second area, and a bridge portion connecting the first and second areas. The bridge portion is formed at a position away from the bottom surface of the mask. By using this mask, a thin film having a pattern including an independent non-film formation area can be formed.

    摘要: A display driver capable of operating in any one of multiple gradient display modes drives a liquid crystal panel in which the first L common electrodes are simultaneously selected in a first selection period and successive groups of L common electrodes are simultaneously selected in successive selection periods. 8-bit display data for each segment electrode are simultaneously read from a display data RAM and latched. First and second sub-decoders decode divided upper and lower four bits of the 8-bit display data, respectively. In a first mode, the data is for a four gradient display for each of four pixels on each segment electrode. In a second mode, the data is for a two gradient display for each of eight pixels on each segment electrode.
