Abstract: A resonant apparatus in a wireless power transmission system, includes a main resonant unit configured to form magnetic resonant coupling between the resonant apparatus and a resonator. The resonant apparatus further includes a field guiding resonant unit configured to focus a magnetic field on an internal portion of the main resonant unit, and a field additive resonant unit configured to adjust a magnitude of a magnetic field formed between the main resonant unit and the field guiding resonant unit.

Abstract: A wireless power transmission and charging system, and a communication method of the wireless power transmission and charging system are provided. In one embodiment, a resonance frequency control method of a wireless power transmitter may include: generating communication power used for communication in a plurality of target devices using a reference resonance frequency; transmitting communication power to the plurality of target devices; transmitting charging power to the plurality of target devices; and adjusting the reference resonance frequency based on a reflected wave of the charging power, the amount of power received by one or more of the target devices, the amount of the charging power, the transmission efficiency of the charging power, or any combination thereof.

According to one general aspect, a power supply for a wireless power transmitter may include: a detecting unit configured to detect voltage, current, or both supplied to a power amplifier (PA); a controller configured to determine power supplied to the PA based on the detected voltage, the detected current, or both, and to determine a reference current based on the determined power supplied to the PA; and a breaker configured to cut off the power supplied to the PA based on a comparison of current supplied to the PA and the reference current.

The apparatus for charge control may include a rectification unit configured to convert an AC power received wirelessly into a DC power; and a DC/DC converter configured to step down a voltage level of the DC power to a voltage level required by a load in the receiving mode.

Abstract: A communication apparatus in a wireless power transmission system includes an operating mode converter configured to switch an operating mode of the communication apparatus between a transmitting mode and a receiving mode according to a predetermined timing; and a transmitting unit configured to transmit state information of a channel occupied by a source including the communication apparatus using a continuous wave signal while the communication apparatus is operating in the transmitting mode irrespective of whether the communication apparatus is performing communication via the occupied channel. The source including the communication apparatus is configured to transmit wireless power. The occupied channel has been assigned to the source including the communication apparatus from a plurality of channels available in a communication cell for assignment to a plurality of sources each configured to transmit wireless power.
