Abstract: According to various embodiments, an operating method of an electronic device may provided, and the operating method may comprise determining initiation of a voice call on a first Subscriber Identity Module (SIM), while availing first data services through the first SIM, wherein the initiation of a voice call leads to a fallback from a first Radio Access Technology (RAT), wherein a Default Data Subscription/Service (DDS) is set to the first SIM, registering with a first network through a second SIM, in response to determining the second SIM is registered with a second network with a second RAT, and availing the first data services from the second SIM that is registered with the first network, while engaging in the voice call on the first SIM. Other various embodiments may be possible.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology. A method of handling control plane data in a wireless network. The method comprises sending, by a user entity (UE), a non-access stratum (NAS) message along with an indication data to a mobility management (MM) core network entity. The MM core network entity processes the received NAS message and the indication data. The MM core network entity determines status of network congestion upon processing the processed NAS message. Sending, by the MM core network entity, a response to the UE based on at least one of the processed indication data and the determined network congestion.

Further, the method includes mitigating, by the electronic device, the temperature of the electronic device by switching the application from the plurality of applications from the first RAT to a second RAT in response to detecting that the temperature of the electronic device meets the thermal mitigation criteria.

Abstract: Provided is a methods and apparatus for accessing New Radio (NR) services in a multi-RAT dual connectivity (DC). A method includes: selecting an anchor band cell as a primary cell for a User Equipment (UE) to access NR services in an Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN)-NR dual connectivity (ENDC). The method also includes prioritizing anchor band cells for the UE to perform cell search or cell reselection in the ENDC scenario. The method further includes selecting an NR DC band cell as the primary cell for the UE to access NR DC services in an NR DC. The method further includes prioritizing the NR DC band cells for the UE to perform cell search or cell reselection in the NR DC scenario, when the UE is an RRC idle state.

Abstract: A method for performing mobility-measurements in new radio (NR) based 3GPP mobile communication network is provided. The method includes receiving network information with respect to a geographical area from one or more user equipments (UEs) operating in geographical area for a predefined duration of time. The received network information is classified at various time-instants during the predefined duration of time as at least one of an NR spectrum availability and NR spectrum non-availability. An overall probability of availability of the NR spectrum within the area is calculated for a time-instant subsequent to the predefined duration of time based on the classified network information. The UE is enabled for scheduling NR measurements within the area based on the calculated probability.

Further, the method includes reading, by the multi SIM UE, the paging message from the first SIM network and determining, by the multi SIM UE, that a higher priority service is on-going on the second SIM network; and managing, by the multi SIM UE, the paging procedure by sending a paging reject message to the first SIM network of the wireless communication network.-

Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method for managing a data session of a user equipment (UE) including multiple subscriber identity modules (SIMS) in a dual-connectivity wireless network. The method includes identifying, by the UE, initiation of a voice call over a first network on a first SIM of the multiple SIMs while at least one data session is ongoing on the first network associated with a second SIM of the multiple SIMS, the second SIM being connected with the first network and a second network included in the dual-connectivity wireless network. Further, the method includes shifting, by the UE, the at least one data session to the second network associated with the second SIM in response to identifying that the voice call over the first network on the first SIM is initiated, identifying, by the UE, whether the voice call over the first network initiated on the first SIM is ended, and shifting, by the UE, the at least one data session to the first network associated with the second SIM, in response to identifying that the voice call over the first network initiated on the first SIM is ended.
