摘要: A receiving/reproducing apparatus, comprises: a receiver portion for receiving video and/or audio data, time reference information and identification information; a counter portion for giving a timing for decoding of the video and/or audio data with using the time reference information; a clock generator portion for providing a clock signal to the counter portion; a control information generator portion for generating control information for controlling the clock generator portion; a memory portion for memorizing the control information and the identification information; a determining portion for determining on whether the clock signal of the clock generator portion satisfies a condition or not; and a controller portion for memorizing the control information and the identification information into the memory portion, when the determining portion determines to satisfy the condition.

摘要: Where a clock frequency based on which encoding is performed has deviated over time, problems such as that an appropriate digital signal can not be outputted occur. To solve the problems, it is arranged such that when a decoder decodes video data and audio data, a control variable for controlling a frequency of a clock recovered by a clock generating portion is recorded as needed in a recording portion, and when the decoder decodes data recorded in the recording portion, the clock generating portion is controlled by using the control variable so that system time information generated by the counter synchronizes with time information extracted upon reception of a digital broadcasting program.

摘要: For reproduction of transport stream (TS) from a recording medium, it is necessary to control the reproduction so as not to overflow the decoder buffer at the time of starting the reproduction and or when switching to the normal reproduction from special reproduction. At the times of starting the TS reproduction from a recording medium and switching between the normal reproduction and the special reproduction, selection is made as appropriate between a reproduction technique which performs stream output with timing similar to the input timing used for recording, and another reproduction technique which monitors data amount stored up in a decoder buffer and controls stream output in accordance with the controlled data amount.

摘要: High audibility output is realized when audio output is provided in special playback. In special playback with audio output, skip/repeat control is done so that decoding and outputting of the audio data is periodically repeated/skipped during part of one frame. The output level may be corrected so as to emphasize appropriate frequency components. This realizes good audio output. In addition, the skip/repeat control and output level correcting methods are changed according to characteristics of the audio data to be reproduced. Also, this realizes good audio output.

摘要: This invention relates to a digital broadcast receiver device capable of performing excellent reproduction equivalent to recording sessions in the case of receiving digital broadcast by handheld terminals or mobile/movable bodies, such as land vehicles, and then recording it in a storage device for reproduction. For example, when recording hierarchically transmitted digital broadcast on a recording medium, the reception quality is analyzed by a reception quality analyzer based on the information from a transmission path demodulator. A list generator generates a reception quality list from an analysis result from the reception quality analyzer and time information from a writing unit and then records it on the record medium. Upon playback from the record medium, the reception quality list is analyzed by a list analyzer. A selection instruction unit selects the optimum hierarchical service and then performs playback and display.

摘要: Formerly, it was difficult to exercise proper control for recording and outputting a plurality of contiguous data. To solve this problem, for example, a plurality of contiguous data are acquired from a stream in which the reference information for reproducing at an acquisition end a clock synchronized with a system clock prevailing at the time of generation is multiplexed. A plurality of timestamped data are then read from recording means. Timestamp information is removed from the read timestamped information. The resulting data without the timestamp information is handled as the read data and output with the timing dependent on the timestamp information. The timestamp information generation operation performed for a write and the output operation performed for a read with the timing dependent on the timestamp information are synchronized with an adjusted clock.
