摘要: An engine control equipment capable of activating a catalyst and preventing exhaust gas from deteriorating in order to early perform combustion by compressive self-ignition is disclosed. The engine control equipment is an engine control equipment including a catalyst for burning a mixed gas in a combustion chamber by compressive self-ignition and purifying exhaust-gas components in the combustion chamber and a controller for controller the catalyst which determines the activation of the catalyst and activates the catalyst in accordance with a determination result based upon determining the activation of the catalyst.

摘要: A control method of an engine including at least an HC adsorbing catalyst for adsorbing HC at a low temperature, and emitting adsorbed HC at a high temperature, and a three-way purifying function on the same carrier, and an NOx adsorbing catalyst having an NOx adsorbing function for adsorbing or occluding NOx in oxidizing atmosphere, and emitting NOx in reducing atmosphere, and a three-way purifying function. The engine operated with stoichiometric value or a rich air-fuel when a temperature of the HC adsorbing catalyst and/or a temperature of the NOx adsorbing catalyst is equal to/lower than a predetermined value. The engine is operated with a lean air-fuel ratio when a temperature of the HC adsorbing catalyst and/or a temperature of the NOx adsorbing catalyst is equal to/higher than the predetermined value.

摘要: Provided is a control device for an engine which is capable of purifying NOx with high efficiency at a restart after an idle stop without deteriorating purification efficiency of HC and CO. At the restart after the idle stop, an air-fuel ratio is controlled to be rich, and an atmosphere inside of a catalyst is estimated on the basis of a required time ΔT from a time point at which an output value (VO2—2) of first oxygen concentration detection means upstream of the catalyst exceeds a predetermined value A1 to a time point at which an output value (VO2—2) of second oxygen concentration detection means downstream of the catalyst exceeds a predetermined value A2, whereby an air-fuel ratio at next and subsequent restarts is corrected so that the atmosphere inside of the catalyst is optimized at the next and subsequent restarts.

摘要: The present invention performs correction appropriately according to errors in the fuel system and air system respectively and corrects both variations in the air-fuel ratio and torque. When the difference between a target air-fuel ratio and a real air-fuel ratio is equal to or below a predetermined value when feedback control based on the air-fuel ratio of an exhaust manifold 10A is in progress, the air-fuel ratio of a cylinder cyl—1 having the largest variation of angular acceleration is corrected to the rich side, for example, by increasing the amount of fuel. Angular acceleration per cylinder is then detected again and when the variation in angular acceleration among cylinders is not eliminated, it is judged that there is an error in the amount of air control of the cylinder having the largest variation and the amount of air, amount of fuel, ignition timing or the like are corrected.

摘要: A control unit for an internal combustion engine can activate a three-way catalyst at the early stage and can lessen the deterioration of the exhaust in an internal combustion engine such as HC, CO, and NOx, etc. from the exhaust gas when starting. The control unit for an internal combustion engine is provided with the three-way catalyst and HC adsorbent on an exhaust side. The control unit alternately controls the A/F between a rich state and a lean state in order to quicken the activation of the three-way catalyst when the internal combustion engine starts.
