    摘要: A piston rod position detecting mechanism is proposed which can detect continuously or in a multiple-point manner that the piston rod position has changed due to increase or decrease in the protruding amount of the piston rod due to aging. The protruding amount from a cylinder end wall is detected by a position detecting mechanism comprising a detecting coil housed in a bobbin provided at the cylinder end, a flange portion formed on the piston rod, and a coil spring. Also, an autotensioner and an electromagnetic valve with such a position detector are proposed. Further, a belt tension adjusting device is provided with a detector for detecting the position of a tension pulley which is pivotable with increase or decrease in the belt tension.

    摘要: A fibrous sheet having a high strength and water resistance and having no resin specks on the surface can be produced by producing a sheet from a fiber slury by the known paper making process, to said fiber slurry being added a flocculate of chlorinated polymer latices which has a particle size of 100.mu.-500 .mu. and is prepared by heating said chlorinated polymer latices to a temperature of at least their minimum film-forming temperature and then adding a water soluble cationic polymer or a polyvalent metal salt with stirring. Examples of said chlorinated polymer latices are anionic polyvinyl chloride latex, polyvinylidene chloride latex or the combination thereof.

    摘要: To provide a method for manufacturing a perpendicular magnetic recording medium, which is capable of coping with the much higher recording density.Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a perpendicular magnetic recording medium to be used for recording information by a perpendicular magnetic recording system, including at least a soft magnetic layer, an intermediate layer, and a magnetic recording layer on a substrate, characterized in that the method includes the step of:composing the intermediate layer of consecutive N layers (provided that N is an integer of at least 3 or more), depositing a first layer containing ruthenium (Ru) as a main component, first; setting a gas pressure during the deposition to the pressure which is higher than or the same as that in the first layer; depositing a second layer containing ruthenium (Ru), or ruthenium (Ru) containing oxygen or an oxide as a main component; and adjusting so that the oxygen content remains constant, or increases toward the uppermost layer in the second layer and succeeding layers.

    摘要: A combined sensor and bearing assembly including a rolling bearing unit and a rotation sensor unit. The rolling bearing unit is made up of a rotatable raceway member, a stationary raceway member and at least one row of rolling elements. The rotation sensor unit includes a to-be-detected member having a magnet and fitted to one of the raceway members, and a magnetic detecting member fitted to the other raceway member at a location confronting the to-be-detected member. This combined sensor and bearing assembly is used at a location close to an electromagnetic coil emanating a leakage magnetic field, in a condition in which a direction of flow of an electric current through the electromagnetic coil is fixed in one direction so that a direction of a magnetic flux, with which the magnetic detecting member is switched off, may coincide with a direction of the leakage magnetic flux.
