    摘要: A coded digital video signal is obtained by dividing a digital video signal into plural pages each composed of K fields of pixel data, decomposing pixel data in each two pages into plural blocks each composed of a predetermined number of pixel data, and encoding the pixel data in each block by bit rate reduction encoding and error correction encoding. The thus obtained coded digital video signal is reproduced or transmitted and then subjected to a concealment process. The concealment process includes decoding the coded digital video signal to obtain reproduced blocks of pixel data and to detect an error block containing an error among the reproduced blocks, composing the reproduced blocks to obtain plural reproduced pages of pixel data, and concealing error pixel data contained in the error block in each two reproduced pages. Error pixel data in a first page is concealed using pixel data in a previous page, and error pixel data in a second page is concealed using pixel data in a succeeding page.

    摘要: A data source has a data converting part for converting inputted data to predetermined data packets. A data buffer stores the data packets. A descriptor list stores a descriptor to which predetermined addresses are added, where a method of sending the data packets is described. A FIFO stores the predetermined addresses in a first-in first-out mode. A data sending part receives start instructions from the data converting part, refers to a predetermined address in which reference is not made yet in the FIFO, fetches data packets corresponding to the descriptor from the data buffer in accordance with a method of sending the descriptor indicated by the predetermined address, generates a send packet from the data packet and outputs the data packet. An end-of-send notice to the data converting part is also send when the output of the send packet is ended.

    摘要: A image signal processing apparatus and method for static image display are provided. Deformation at an edge of an image can be reduced by eliminating a temporal factor and vertical resolution can be retained even after data supplementation. In the process of compressing and decompressing interlace-scanned image data, one of two fields of a frame is selected by a field selector, image data is supplemented and reproduced based on the selected field data by a supplementor, and image data is outputted as a static image without deformation. As a result, more bits can be allocated for encoding by selecting and compressing one field data only and it leads to a higher quality image display. Furthermore, display deformation can be reduced by supplementing high frequency components as zero in the decompression processing.

The holder includes: a rectangular parallelepiped beam splitter (5) having a rectangular incident surface (12); a pair of mutually opposing holding members (8) into which end portions of the beam splitter along the x-axis are fitted; and a base portion (9) and screws (10) that press on the holding members (8), drawing them toward each other. Each of the holding members (8) has a flat surface portion covering a lateral surface of the beam splitter (5), and a peripheral wall portion standing along the periphery of the flat surface potion. A width, along the x-axis, whereby the peripheral wall portion and a first light-exit surface opposing the incident surface (12) of the beam splitter (5) overlap is greater than a width, in the same orientation, whereby the incident surface (12) and the peripheral wall portion overlap.
