    摘要: A vacuum pump includes a casing having an inlet port and an outlet port, a stator portion provided inside the casing and a rotor portion having a shaft rotatably supported inside the casing and a rotor disposed on the shaft and provided with a gas transfer mechanism that transfers a gas from the inlet port to the outlet port. The rotor portion is arranged with a predetermined clearance between the rotor portion and the stator portion. A motor rotates the shaft. Vibration detection disposed in the stator portion detects vibrations by converting vibration amplitude to an electric signal. Contact detection judges an occurrence of contact between the stator portion and the rotor portion when, in the vibration detected by the vibration detection, an amplitude in frequency of a specific vibration caused by contact between the stator portion and the rotor portion exceeds a predetermined threshold value.

The first transistor is controlled by pulse-width modulation control, and the second transistor is controlled to supply a low level current at nighttime and a high level current at daytime under a condition that the first transistor is ON. The duty ratio of the first transistor is varied over a full range from 0% to 100% at the nighttime, while the duty ratio of the same is varied only in a partial range at the daytime.

    摘要: A turbo molecular pump comprises a pump body having a vacuum chamber, a gas inlet port and a gas outlet port. A rotor shaft is mounted in the pump body for undergoing rotation. A rotor vane section is disposed in the vacuum chamber and has rotor vanes connected to the rotor shaft for rotation therewith. A stator vane section is disposed in the vacuum chamber and has stator vanes interleaved with the rotor vanes in spaced-apart relation. A distance between at least one of the rotor vanes and an adjacent one of the stator vanes is set to a value in accordance with a mean free path of molecules contained in a gas flowing between the rotor vanes and the stator vanes such that a pressure of the vacuum chamber is not less than 10 mTorr during a normal operation of the turbo molecular pump. Alternatively, the distance between at least one of the rotor vanes and an adjacent one of the stator vanes is set to a value in accordance with a mean free path of molecules contained in a gas flowing between the rotor vanes and the stator vanes such that a discharge throughput of the turbo molecular pump during a normal operation thereof is not less than 1000 SCCM.

    摘要: A high speed electromagnetic rotating machine is arranged to avoid heat generation due to mutual inductance between a stator and rotor and has a stator provided with drive windings for generating a rotating magnetic field to rotate the rotor and position control windings fitted to the stator for generating a magnetic field having a different number of poles than that of the drive windings for controlling the axial or radial position of the rotor when an electric current sufficient to unbalance the magnetic field applied to the rotor by the drive windings is supplied to the position control windings. The rotor has a cage conductors interconnected to form a plurality of closed circuits mounted to the rotor, the closed circuits having a number of poles set so that there is no mutual inductance between the position control windings and the cage conductors. The cage conductors are connected by circumferentially-divided end rings rigidly connected by a retaining ring or by axially divided end rings directly connected to the rotor shaft. In one embodiment, the cage conductors are arranged in four-pole closed circuits, the drive windings have four poles, and the position control windings have two poles. In an alternative embodiment, the cage conductors may be arranged in two-pole closed circuits, the drive windings have two poles and the position control windings have four poles.
