Abstract:
A filter for internal combustion engines of vehicles, comprising: an external casing (11) and an upper closing cover (12), which close an internal chamber (13) having an inlet for the liquid to be filtered and an outlet for filtered liquid; a filter cartridge (20) having a tubular filter means (21) located internally of the internal chamber (13) which separates the chamber (13) into a first zone communicating with the inlet and a second zone communicating with the outlet, and a lower plate (22) joined to a lower end of the filter means (21); the filter means being removably fixed to the casing (11) such as to remain internally of the casing when the casing is separated from the cover; the lower plate comprising hooking teeth (31), developing axially and having an elastic action in a radial direction; the base of the casing comprising a generally cylindrical surface sub-divided into a number of sectors which is equal to a number of hooking teeth (31), each sector defining a hooking zone (43) for axially constraining the hooking teeth (31) in a snap-fastening.
Abstract:
A filter cartridge including a filter membrane and at least a support element fixed to the filter membrane, the support element being provided with at least a snap-engaging element suitable for snap-engaging to a support body following a reciprocal translation between the filter cartridge and the support body along a nearing axis, the support element further including a disengaging device suitable for disengaging the snap-engaging element from the support body following a reciprocal rotation between the filter cartridge and the support body about the axis.
Abstract:
A filter assembly for a water treatment system includes a first end cap and a second end cap that secure about the ends of a filter. A central member extends through a central void in the filter. The filter assembly has corresponding non-adhesive locking mechanisms that interact to secure the filter assembly together. Two gaskets may sandwich the filter and a reflector may be positioned within the central member. An ultraviolet lamp may also be positioned within the central member.
Abstract:
A filtration assembly is provided for a fluid flowing in an engine or an apparatus that includes a tank on which a central tube is mounted for interaction with a filtration cartridge including an upper flange and a lower flange between which extends a filtration medium. The central tube is permanently mounted on a bearing member connected to the tank. The central tube bears a first seal and a second seal. The cartridge has a collar forming an extension of the lower flange, the collar being adapted for interaction with the first seal on the central tube in order to ensure tightness between the tube and the cartridge. The second seal is adapted for interaction with the bearing member and/or the collar in order to ensure tightness between the tank and the tube.
Abstract:
A filter cartridge (30) comprising a filter membrane (33) and at least a support element (31) fixed to the filter membrane (33), the support element being provided with at least a snap-engaging element (36) suitable for snap-engaging to a support body (20) following a reciprocal translation between the filter cartridge (30) and the support body (20) along a nearing axis (A), the support element (31) further comprising disengaging means (38) suitable for disengaging the snap-engaging element (36) from the support body (20) following a reciprocal rotation between the filter cartridge (30) and the support body about the axis (A).
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a filter for use in connection with a swimming pool or spa. A device is provided that has a tube inlet at the top of a vessel. A lower end of the device is connected directly to an outlet of the filter. The device is designed to divert all or the majority of the fluid to move to the top of the filter before exiting the vessel.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a base having base threads and a flexible assembly having assembly threads, wherein said base threads and the assembly threads are capable of interfacing to connect the base to the flexible assembly, wherein the flexible assembly is capable of contracting in response to the application of torque when the assembly is connected to the base, and wherein the contracting of the assembly presents a visual, tactile or audible indication that a sufficient amount of torque has been applied to connect the flexible assembly to the base.
Abstract:
A filtering unit (10) comprising a casing (20) provided with at least one inlet (32), one outlet (33) and one support body (42) provided with abutment surfaces (44) adapted to removably support a filtering cartridge (50) contained within the casing (20) and adapted to divide the internal volume of the casing (20) into two chambers (21,22) respectively connected with the inlet (32) and the outlet (33) so as to filter the fluid flowing from the inlet (32) towards the outlet (33), the filtering cartridge (50) comprising at least one coupling element (55) configured to be snap-coupled to the support body (42) following a first axial translation for mutual approaching between the filtering cartridge (50) and the support body (42), whose distinctive characteristic lies in the fact that it comprises cam means (57,58) operating between the coupling element (55) and the support body (42) so as to radially bend the coupling element (55) in a release position for disengaging the coupling element (55) from the support element (42) following a further limited mutual axial translation between the filtering cartridge (50) and the support body (42), moving in the same direction with respect to the first approaching translation, the cam means (57,58) being configured so as to keep the coupling element (55) in release position following a slight mutual rotation between the filtering cartridge (50) and the support body (42).
Abstract:
A filter cartridge has a longitudinal axis. A cartridge housing has first and second shell portions. The first shell portion has a cartridge housing opening and an annular element retention lip which is disposed axially inward of the opening and coaxial with the longitudinal axis. The filter element has a first end cap, a second end cap, and a continuous ring of filter media disposed between the first and second end caps. The first end cap defines a fuel flow port which is coaxial with the longitudinal axis. A plurality of resilient element retention arms extend axially from the first end cap, and surround the fuel flow port. The arms terminate in retention barbs which are mateable with the annular lip. The resilient retention arms hold the retention barbs against the annular lip, suspending the filter element within the cartridge.
Abstract:
A fluid filter with a housing, a releasable cover, and a replaceable filter having a filter body and two end discs. The filter is plugged onto a housing pipe and a locking ring is guided on the pipe, preloaded in a push-out direction. The locking ring is locked in a pushed-out position by a locking device. An unlocking device guided by the filter unlocks the locking device when the filter is pushed onto the pipe and enables the locking ring and the filter to be pushed in. When the filter is fitted into the housing, a seal on the end disc or locking ring interacts with a housing sealing surface to separate an untreated filter side from a clean side. When the locking ring is in the pushed-out position and the filter bears against the locking ring, the seal is held away from the sealing surface of the housing.
