Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the operation of a kitchen appliance (100). A processor (122) receives (220) a stored sequence of user settings and at least one recorded parameter, and applies (226) the stored sequence of user settings to the kitchen appliance. A sensor (140) senses at least one sensed parameter while the stored sequence of user settings is applied to the kitchen appliance (100). The processor (122) determines (228) a difference between the at least one sensed parameter and corresponding recorded parameter(s) and, if the determined difference exceeds a difference threshold, adjusts (234) at least one user setting applied.

Abstract: A coffee densifier is disclosed. The coffee densifier comprises an elongated chamber, a densifier motor, a shaft, a plurality of densifier members, a discharge door actuator, a densifier motor load sensor, and a controller. The plurality of densifier members are fixed to the shaft and configured to polish a plurality of coffee particles of the ground coffee within the elongated chamber when the plurality of densifier members are rotated by the shaft through the ground coffee within the mixing chamber. The controller configured to signal the discharge door actuator to move the discharge door to increase or decrease a density of the ground coffee exiting the chamber through the discharge opening when the densifier motor load is outside a predefined densifier motor load operating range.

Abstract: The present invention provide a polymer flocculant mixing and dissolving system and a method for mixing and dissolving a polymer flocculant that can produce a polymer flocculant solution in a short period of time using low power.A polymer flocculant mixing and dissolving system having: a mixing tank (2) in which a solid polymer flocculant is mixed with water as a solvent; a liquid feed unit (3) for feeding an aqueous solution containing the mixed polymer flocculant from the mixing tank; a regenerative mixer (4A, 4B) that comprises a casing arranged at an intermediate position of a channel for the aqueous solution discharged from the liquid feed unit, and a bladed wheel in which grooves are formed in a radial pattern all over an outer circumference, and is used to mix and dissolve the polymer flocculant through pressure application by rotating the bladed wheel in the casing and forming a vortex flow of the aqueous solution along an inner circumferential wall of the casing, furthermore performs pressure the pressure on the discharge side of the regenerative mixer using the pressure adjusting unit.

Abstract: Method for operating an agitating device and a digester wherein the digester (1) is filled with a substrate (7) and wherein an agitating device (10) controlled by a control device (50) is disposed in the digester (1). The following process steps are carried out. a) A target load curve (60) is lodged in the control device (50) b) the control device (50) prescribes a target speed of rotation (61) c) the control device (50) operates the agitating device (10) at an actual speed of rotation (71) corresponding to the prescribed target speed of rotation (61); d) the control device captures an actual measurement value (81) which is characteristic of the torque of the agitating device (10) at the actual speed of rotation (71); e) the control device (50) derives from the actual measurement value (81) an actual characteristic value (91) of the applied torque of the agitating device (10); f) the control device (50) compares the derived actual characteristic value (73) against the target characteristic value (63) of the substrate (7) resulting from the target load curve (60) at the prescribed target speed of rotation (61); g) the control device (50) controls the agitating device (10) in dependence on the result of comparison.

Abstract: One example of correlating energy to mix well cement slurry under laboratory conditions to field conditions can be implemented as a method to determine energy to mix cement slurry. Electrical power supplied to an electric mixer in mixing a specified well cement slurry is measured. An energy to mix the specified well cement slurry is determined from the measuring. The determined energy to mix the specified well cement slurry and specifications of field equipment for use in mixing the specified well cement slurry at a well site are compared. The field equipment is a different configuration than the electric mixer. Based on the comparing, it is determined whether the well cement slurry needs redesigning according to capabilities of the field equipment.
