    摘要: A bioreactor includes a base and a lid. The base includes two opposing curved or convoluted surfaces, two opposing flat surfaces, a window disposed on one of the flat surfaces, the window having a higher degree of transparency compared to other portions of the base, wherein images or videos of cells are captured through the window by non-invasive ISM device, and a rounded bottom. The lid is attachable to the base. The lid includes a shaft and a semipermeable membrane attached to the shaft, the semipermeable membrane being permeable to oxygen but impermeable to viruses and bacteria. The PAT-based online analysis directs the adaptive manipulations of bioreactor towards efficient, automated, and GMP-compliant clinical protocols of cell culture.

    摘要: An object to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a culture method for cells, which makes it possible to suppress oxygen deficiency of cells in a case where the cell is cultured at a high density, and a production method for a useful substance using the culture method for cells. According to the present invention, there is provided a culture method for cells, in which a relationship between a stirring power P/V per unit volume, a dissolved oxygen concentration CL0, and a viable cell density VCD satisfies a condition of Expression 1, in cell culture in which the viable cell density is 60×106 cells/mL or more.

    摘要: The present invention relates to bioreactor system and method thereof wherein support matrix (2) comprises at last one central shaft and plurality of peripheral shaft being radially surrounds central shaft. Arrays of discs (11) are mounted along the shaft by defining interspatial vicinities between two successive plates. Thus, discs mounted on peripheral shafts are rotated within the interspatial vicinity of discs of central shaft to ensures sufficient mixing and avoid stagnant fluidic zones which is created when discs are mounted closely apart from each other on shafts. Further, plurality of deflector vanes that are axially provided along the length of the central shaft to redirect substantially co-axial direction fluid flow into interior of culture vessel and more specifically towards the central axis. Thus, bioreactor system provides scalable and disposable bioreactor with efficient mixing and homogeneous conditions and thereby supports high density growth and maintenance of cells and other biological material.

    摘要: A method for on-line optimization of fed-batch fermentation unit containing bacteria and nutrients is disclosed. Parameters of the fermenter model used in optimization calculations are estimated periodically to reduce the mismatch between the plant and the calculated values. The updated fermenter model is used to calculate the optimum sugar feed rate to maximize the product yield. The method/fermenter model is implemented as a software program in a PC that can be interfaced to plant control systems for on-line deployment in an actual plant environment. An on-line optimization system is useful to the plant operating personnel, to maximize the product yield from the fed-batch fermenter unit. In another aspect, a plant control system to control a fed-batch fermentation based on the described method is also disclosed.
