The present invention is directed to a cap for laminated carton packaging for beverages, wherein the laminated carton packaging for beverages comprise a cap made of plastic and a packaging body, tools for deep drawing of such a cap, method of manufacturing such a cap as well as the laminated carton packaging for beverages provided therewith. In order to create a constructively simple to assemble and therefore cost-effective cap which can be manufactured and to make available the respective tools as well as the method for their manufacture, it is provided that the cap has a spout element provided with a screw thread which is closed by a screw cap and that the cap is deep drawn. For this purpose various tools and manufacturing methods are described.

The thermoforming press has a frame, a forming die assembly affixed to the frame, a mold-supporting table suspended to the frame under the forming die assembly, and a pair of molds mounted side by side on the mold-supporting table. A drive system is provided for imparting a pendulum movement to the mold-supporting table for alternately registering one of the molds with the forming die assembly while the other mold is positioned at a part retrieving station. The part retrieving and stacking mechanism has horizontal and angular displacements only as the vertical component of the retrieving motion is provided by the pendulum system. Spring discs are mounted between the forming die assembly and the press platen to control the forces generated between the forming die assembly and each mold.

The punching edge 22 is pressed into contact with the flange element 32 such that a shearing edge 54 is formed on the headliner blank 18 and a waste component 46 is separated from the headliner blank 18.

A method to improve the stacking of containers comprising thermoplastic plastic, and the transfer of the stacks to a successive device. Stacks of a predetermined number are intended to be produced without disturbances, even with a high cycle number of the shaping tool. This is achieved in that the containers are stacked in a first stack magazine, which is exchanged for an adjacent stack magazine between two cycles of the shaping tool after the predetermined number has been reached. The containers are stacked in the stack magazines directly from the shaping tool, or by an intermediate transfer device.
