    摘要: Temperature protection assemblies (18) designed to protect objects (10) against undue temperature changes during shipping or storage, comprise a first layer (20) configured to be placed proximal to the object (10) and include phase change material, together with a second layer (22) configured to be placed over the first layer (20) and remote from the object (10), the second layer comprising a heat-reflecting material (50). The assemblies (18) may be designed to protect a single carton (10) or a pallet load thereof and, in such cases, the layers (20, 22) are in the form of open-bottom covers, which can be fitted over the carton (10) or pallet load in closely-conforming relationship, with the first layer (20) adjacent the carton (10) or load, and the second layer (22) telescoped over the first layer (20). The covers (20, 22) may be interconnected to form a unitary assembly.

    摘要: A machine for continuously forming heat-reflective blanks is provided. The heat-reflective blanks each include a blank of sheet material and a thermal film patch coupled to the blank. The machine includes an intake station configured to align a first blank of sheet material and a second blank of sheet material for application of a first thermal film patch and a second thermal film patch, respectively. The intake station is further configured to maintain a spacing between the first blank and the second blank. The intake station includes adjustable hold-down bars for maintaining an alignment and the spacing of the first and second blanks. The machine also includes an applicator station configured to apply the first and second thermal film patches to the first and second blanks, respectively, to form a first heat-reflective blank and a second heat-reflective blank, and an ejection station configured to eject the heat-reflective blanks.

    摘要: A thermally insulated sandwich polyurethane (PUR) shipper for a temperature sensitive payload is provided. The sandwich PUR shipper comprises an outer corrugated box, an inner corrugated box, vacuum insulated panels (such as VIP panels) and PUR foam. The inner box is nested within the outer box and has a bottom, sides and a top. The inner box defines a payload compartment. The VIP panels are adhered to the outer facing surfaces of the inner box. Preferably the VIP panels are wedged against each other so that a side edge of one VIP panel abuts an adjacent VIP panel. The PUR foam fills the space between the VIP panels and the outer box. The PUR foam may cover the top edges of the VIP panels.
