Antistatic polymers are formed by copolymerization of monomers including a diisocyanate, an ionic diol, a polyether diol, and at least one non-ionic diols. Methods of making the antistatic polyurethanes are also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a composition for topically delivering SDF-1 into the brain, in which the composition comprises a dual ionic pH-sensitive copolymer and a nerve regeneration and protective factor. In the present invention, when a dual ionic pH-sensitive copolymer containing SDF-1 as a nerve regeneration and protective factor is applied to a patient suffering from ischemic stroke as a drug carrier, it induces the effective delivery of the treatment factor to a topical lesion site, and moreover, the risk factors for adverse effects may be cancelled out, so that it can be effectively used as a novel therapeutic agent for ischemic brain diseases.

Fluorochemical urethane compositions comprising one or more compounds or oligomers having at least on fluorine-containing repeatable unit and at least one fluorine-containing terminal group are described. The compositions are useful as coatings or incorporated as melt additives. The fluorochemical compositions impart oil and water repellency to the substrate. In other aspects, this invention relates to processes for imparting oil and water repellency characteristics to substrates and articles.

Coatings are provided with very low surface energies provided by fluorine and/or silicone moieties. Aqueous dispersions of externally chain extended polyurethane compositions terminated by hydrolyzable and/or hydrolyzed silyl groups and containing dispersing or emulsifying groups, particularly carboxyl groups are provided. Also polyurethane dispersions which are substantially organic solvent free which cure to water and solvent resistant, tough, scratch resistant, preferably light stable polyurethane films are provided. Such films are useful as anti-fouling marine coatings. The compound RfR′fCFCOOCH2C(R)(CH2OH)2 is provided.

This invention relates to polymeric compositions derived by the polycondensation of heteroatom containing perfluoroalkyl terminated neopentyl glycols, and diamino, dihydroxy, or dimercapto-polysiloxanes and optionally other diols, dimercaptans or diamines with organic diisocyanates; and blends of polycondensation polymers with oxime-blocked organic polyisocyanates. These compositions and blends are useful as coatings on glass, wood, paper, leather and especially textiles.

OLEOPHOHIC AND HYDROPHILIC MOIETIES ARE COMBINED IN COATABLE COPOLYMERS SO THAT THE RELATIVE MOBILITY OF THE MOIETIES IS ASSURED UNDER SOME SET OF CONDITIONS OF TEMPERATURE AND ENVIROMENT. SURFACES TREATED WITH THE RESULTING COPOLYMERS RESPOND REVERSIBLY TO CHANGE OF ENVIRONMENT, E.G. GASEOUS TO AQUEOUS MILIEU AND VICE VERSA, BY A CHANGE IN KIND OF PROPERTIES.
