Abstract: A hinge structure includes a first shaft, a second shaft, a pivot base and a position-limiting mechanism. The first and second shafts are pivoted on the pivot base. The position-limiting mechanism includes a first position-limiting portion, a second position-limiting portion and a position-limiting component. The first position-limiting portion is fixed to the first shaft. The second position-limiting portion is fixed to the second shaft. The position-limiting component is slidably disposed on the pivot base and has first and second ends opposite to each other. When the position-limiting component moves to a first position, the first end and the first position-limiting portion interfere with each other to stop the first shaft and the pivot base from rotating relatively. When the position-limiting component moves to a second position, the second end and the second position-limiting portion interfere with each other to stop the second shaft and the pivot base from rotating relatively.

Abstract: An actuator comprises an actuator output shaft, a rotatable lock formation associated with the output shaft so as to be axially fixed relative thereto, the lock formation defining an entry passage, a lock pocket and an exit passage, a pin positioned for movement relative to the lock formation such that, as the actuator approaches a fully extended position, a part of the pin is received within and passes along the entry passage, and resilient detent means operable such that, once the pin has moved beyond a predetermined position within the entry passage, the resilient detent means prevents return movement of the pin along the entry passage.

Abstract: A device and method for automatically closing a tailgate of a motor vehicle having a body and a tailgate closing device, is described. The tailgate closing device comprises first and second closing elements. A suspension strut is situated on a first side of the tailgate and a power strut is situated on a second side of the tailgate opposite the first side. The suspension strut and the power strut are both connected to the tailgate and to the body. The first closing element is situated on the tailgate and the second closing element is situated on the body. The first and second closing elements are designed to engage into each other during the closing of the tailgate to effectuate the closure of the tailgate. The torque acting via the power strut onto the tailgate is reduced during the closing of the tailgate when the distance between the first and second closing elements is less than a threshold value.
