The range signal represents a distance from a host vehicle to the front vehicle and the range-rate signal represents range-rate information of the front vehicle relative to the host vehicle.     摘要: A control system for a vehicle including a brake pedal operable by a driver and an engine includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to: (a) execute cruise control, the cruise control selectively executed and stopped through an operation of the driver, (b) stop the engine upon depression of the brake pedal, when the cruise control is stopped, (c) stop the engine while the vehicle is being decelerated or stopped, even when the brake pedal is not depressed, when the cruise control is executed, and (d) keep the engine stopped even when the operation to stop the cruise control is performed, after the engine is stopped and the cruise control is executed.

    摘要: There is a need to predict a driving environment with high responsiveness by a simple configuration. There is provided a driving environment prediction device that predicts a driving environment of a vehicle that causes a vehicle stop. The driving environment prediction device comprises: a first vehicle stop time rate calculator which is configured to calculate a rate of vehicle stop time in a first period, as a first vehicle stop time rate (shorter-period vehicle stop time rate); a second vehicle stop time rate calculator which is configured to calculate a rate of vehicle stop time in a second period which is longer than the first period, as a second vehicle stop time rate (longer-period vehicle stop time rate); and a driving environment predictor which is configured to predict the driving environment, based on the shorter-period vehicle stop time rate and the longer-period vehicle stop time rate.
