摘要: An automatic battery fluid level monitoring system is provided. The automatic monitoring system includes a fluid consumption algorithm, programmed into a microprocessor based motor controller, connected through a communications link to a microprocessor based battery charger. The battery charger is electrically connected to a flooded type battery as well as a power connection such as being plugged into an outlet, the electrical connection from an alternator, or the like. Once the fluid consumption algorithm indicates that the fluid level is too low, a battery fluid indicator is activated utilizing a visual and/or audio display. After the battery is refilled, a fluid added reset is triggered, which deactivates the battery fluid indicator. Additional embodiments include utilizing a wired or wireless connection to a remote fleet management system, as well as alternative vehicle performance rules wherein the vehicle performance parameters can be purposefully altered to effect the ongoing performance of the vehicle.

摘要: The present invention relates to a charger capable of diagnosing a lifespan of a battery when the battery is being charged, and a control method thereof. The charger includes a converter applying one of a perturbation voltage and a perturbation current to a battery, and a digital signal processor transmitting a perturbation signal in which an AC signal is added to a DC signal via the converter, measuring an output response of the battery, calculating an impedance spectrum according to the output response of the battery, calculating an impedance parameter by selecting an equivalent circuit according to the impedance spectrum, and estimating a lifespan of the battery by comparing the calculated impedance parameter of the battery with a predetermined impedance parameter of a reference battery.

摘要: A battery pack includes a battery including at least one battery cell, a switching element including a charging switch and a discharging switch arranged on a high current path via which a charging current and a discharging current flow, a battery manager configured to monitor a voltage and a current of the battery, and to controlling charging and discharging of the battery based on the voltage of the battery, and a switch driver configured to output a second driving signal for driving the charging switch according to a control signal from the battery manager, wherein the battery manager is further configured to set a charging current limit based on a deterioration degree of the battery, and to control the charging switch by using the switch driver so that a magnitude of the charging current applied to the battery is equal to or less than the charging current limit.

The battery system including at least one battery cell and one or more sensors configured to measure a temperature of the at least one battery cell. The method includes receiving a measurement of the temperature of the at least one battery cell, estimating an open circuit potential of the at least one battery cell, estimating a capacity fade of the at least one battery cell based on the open circuit potential of the at least one battery cell and a ratio of a change in the open circuit potential relative to a change in the temperature of the at least one battery cell, and regulating at least one of charging or discharging of the at least one battery cell based on the estimation of the capacity fade.

摘要: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that manages use of a battery in a portable electronic device. During operation, the system uses a reference electrode in the battery to monitor an anode potential of an anode in the battery during charging of the battery in the portable electronic device. If the anode potential falls below an anode potential threshold, the system modifies a charging technique for the battery to extend a cycle life of the battery. For example, the system may reduce a charge current of the battery if the anode potential falls below the anode potential threshold to prevent degradation caused by a negative anode potential during charging of the battery.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting the state of a checkable storage battery in a vehicle having at least two vehicle onboard power supply systems of different operating voltages is provided. The vehicle onboard power supply systems are coupled by a DC/DC converter, which converts a first DC voltage of a first vehicle onboard power supply system into a second DC voltage of the storage battery in the second vehicle onboard power supply system. The vehicle onboard power supply systems have a control device that includes a test signal module configured to supply a test signal via the DC/DC converter to the checkable storage battery, a measured value detection module configured to measure the reaction values of the checkable storage battery, and an evaluation module configured to detect the state of the storage battery from the measured reaction values.
