    Abstract: A transmitter according to an exemplary aspect of the present invention includes: a modulation circuit configured to modulate a baseband signal into a multi-bit digital signal including a component in a radio-frequency band; a plurality of switch-mode power amplifiers corresponding to each bit of the multi-bit digital signal output from the modulation circuit; and a signal synthesis circuit including a band limiting unit configured to perform a band limitation on output signals from the plurality of switch-mode power amplifiers, and a plurality of voltage-to-current converting units configured to perform a voltage-to-current conversion on respective output signals from the plurality of switch-mode power amplifiers, the signal synthesis circuit configured to makes a synthesized signal connecting the band limiting unit and the plurality of voltage-to-current converting units, wherein, depending on an output power at a synthesis point where the synthesized signal is made, a switch-mode power amplifier is selected which is configured to receive input of a pulse, and a pulse number of pulses to be inputted into the selected switch-mode power amplifier is controlled.

    Abstract: A phase shift circuitry includes: a signal generation circuitry that receives an input signal, and outputs four signals different in phase from each other by 90 degrees based on the input signal, the four signals includes a first signal and a second signal; four variable amplifier circuitry that each includes a transistor, and amplify the four signals individually, with amplification factors based on control voltages supplied to gates of the transistors, the four variable amplifier circuitry include a first amplifier amplifies the first signal by a first control voltage and a second amplifier amplifies the second signal by a second control voltage; a synthetic circuitry that synthesizes output signals of the four variable amplifier circuitry, and outputs a synthesized signal; and a control circuitry supplies voltages, that are equal to or higher than the gate threshold value, to the first amplifier and the second amplifier.

    Abstract: A system for use with beam signals, the system including: a crest factor reduction (CFR) module having inputs and corresponding outputs, wherein each of the inputs is for receiving a corresponding different beam signal of the beam signals and wherein each output corresponds to a different input of the plurality of inputs and is for outputting a different CFR-adjusted signal of a plurality of CFR-adjusted signals, each CFR-adjusted signal of the plurality of CFR-adjusted signals corresponding to a different beam signal of the plurality of beam signals; and a transmitter connected to the outputs of the CFR module, wherein the CFR module is configured to perform crest factor reduction on the beam signals to generate the plurality of CFR-adjusted signals, and wherein the crest factor reduction performed on the beam signals is based on a weighted sum of the magnitudes of multiple beams signals among the beam signals.
