摘要： The present invention relates generally to roofing products. The present invention relates more particularly to roofing products for use with photovoltaic elements, and to photovoltaic systems that include one or more photovoltaic elements joined to a roofing substrate. In one embodiment, a roofing product includes a flexible roofing substrate having a top surface, the top surface having one or more granule-coated zones thereon capable of acting as a receptor zone or an exposure zone, each zone being adapted to receive one or more photovoltaic elements; and an adhesive suitable for securing photovoltaic elements to one or more of the granule-coated zones, the adhesive capable of forming a bond to the granules and the top surface of the flexible roofing substrate and to the bottom surface of the photovoltaic elements.

摘要： A method for distributing granules may include transporting a hopper along a roof while releasing granules through a valve of the hopper, thereby depositing a line of granules on the roof. Another method for distributing granules may include adjusting a valve of a container mounted on a cart, depositing a predetermined width of the granules though the valve onto the roof while driving the cart along a roof, and covering a seam between adjacent sheets of roofing material with the granules. A device for depositing granules on a roof may include a hopper, and a valve, where granules stored in the hopper flow directly through the valve to the roof in response to gravity when the valve is at least partially opened, and where the flow of the granules is not assisted by an agitator, an auger, or air pressure.

摘要： A new and improved roofing membrane, or flashing member, and batten or reinforcement strip assembly, and a method of fabricating the same, wherein a roofing membrane or flashing member is fabricated either from polyvinyl-chloride (PVC), a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), or a flexible thermoplastic polyolefine (FPO) material so as to be heat-weldable or heat-sealable. The roofing membrane or flashing member is therefore capable of being heat-welded or heat-sealed, not only to other adjacent and overlapping roofing membranes, that are fabricated from the same or similar materials, so as to effectively form a composite roofing membrane structure which can be installed over the entire area expanse of a building roof, or at junctures defined between different roofing sections, but in addition, each roofing membrane or flashing member is capable of being heat-welded or heat-sealed to itself so as to effectively capture a batten or reinforcement strip therewithin without requiring the use of auxiliary bonding means which must conventionally be applied thereto by means of auxiliary bonding procedures or operations.

The polymer absorbs water contacting the roof covering and allows it to evaporate over time to cool the roof structure and interior of the building. The invention provides a lightweight, low cost roof covering for cooling buildings. 摘要： A shingle roll system for shingling a roof structure quickly and easily. The system includes an elongate shingle sheet having top and bottom surfaces, a pair of opposite end edges and a pair of side edges extending between the end edges of the shingle sheet. The shingle sheet has a dividing line extending between the end edges of the shingle sheet which divides the shingle sheet into exposed and coverage portions. 摘要： A method and apparatus for the installation of roofing material. The method of installing roofing material of the present invention requires less manpower and consumes less time. Tabs are affixed to the outside of the roofing material which fold back to allow insertion of a fastener. The ends of the roofing material are first fastened to the roof or parapet to be covered. The intervening portion of the roofing material is then fastened. The tabs affixed to the outside of the roofing material cover the fasteners and can be sealed shut to waterproof the roofing material.
