Abstract: A suction damping device for a variable displacement compressor includes a rotor rotatably received within a stator disposed in a suction port of the variable displacement compressor. The rotor includes an aperture and the stator includes a pair of opposing openings in selective fluid communication with the aperture of the rotor. An electromagnetic device controls a rotational position of the rotor relative to the stator based on a condition of an electrically controlled valve used to control an angle of inclination of a swashplate of the variable displacement compressor. A changing of the rotational position of the rotor relative to the stator causes a variable overlap to be formed between the aperture of the rotor and the openings of the stator to control a flow of a refrigerant through the suction damping device.

The supervisory controller also may be configured to receive blender signals indicative of one or more of blender flow rate or blender discharge pressure. Based on one or more of these signals, the supervisory controller may be configured to detect a cavitation event and/or a pulsation event. The supervisory controller may be configured to generate a cavitation notification signal indicative of detection of cavitation associated with operation of the hydraulic fracturing pump, and/or a pulsation notification signal indicative of detection of pulsation associated with operation of the hydraulic fracturing pump.

Abstract: A piston pump is configured to convey pressure medium in a pressure medium circuit, in particular in a braking circuit of a motor vehicle braking system that may be electronically controlled to counteract slip. The pump piston delimits an operating chamber and is received in a displaceable manner in a pump cylinder and may be driven to produce a stroke movement that goes back and forth between two reversing positions. The operating chamber may be connected in a controllable manner to a pump inlet or outlet. A pressure medium connection is provided from the pump outlet to the operating chamber, said pressure medium connection is controllable in dependence upon a relative position of the pump piston with respect to the first reversing position. Pressure pulsations of the piston pump are prevented and the operating noise is reduced.

Abstract: A positive displacement pump for pumping a fluid mastic comprises a plurality of cylinders each having a piston arranged for reciprocal motion within the cylinder. Movement of the piston in a first direction draws the fluid into the cylinder and movement in a second, opposite direction pumps the fluid out of the cylinder. A variable speed electric motor is drivingly coupled to a cam arrangement providing a reciprocating drive to the pistons. The cam arrangement comprises cams shaped and arranged to drive each piston in the first direction over less than half of a rotational cycle and to drive each piston in the second direction over the remainder of the rotational cycle. The cams are arranged to drive the pistons out of phase with one another.
