摘要: The present invention provides a lens holder and a lens protector having little burrs and no gate marks formed on a surface thereof confronting an optical disc and a method of manufacturing the lens holder and the lens protector. The lens holder is formed in integration with a boss by injection-molding and has a hole capable of holding an objective lens on a surface of the lens holder confronting an optical disc. The boss having a gate and a contact portion which contacts a ejector pin is formed on a peripheral side surface of the lens holder when the injection molding is performed and cut off from the lens holder after the injection molding finishes.

摘要: Mold pieces (105 and 110) for molding a layer of mold compound on the interconnect side of a bumped semiconductor wafer (118) include a primary cavity (117) and secondary cavities (120) into which excess mold compound from the primary cavity (117) flows. The secondary cavities (120) include a plunger (130) that asserts a predetermined backpressure that is equal to a desired mold compound pressure on the mold compound during molding. As most of the excess mold compound in the primary cavity (117) is forced to flow into the secondary cavities (120), this advantageously leaves a relatively thin layer of mold compound on the semiconductor wafer (118), which can then be removed, for example by grinding in a relatively short time. Mould piece (105) further comprises a movable cavity bar (115) that can be moved away from mould piece (105) after molding and be cooled to detach the molded substrate that adheres to the cavity bar.

摘要: In the moulding of parisons made of thermoplastic material for making bottles for containing effervescent beverages, resistance to bursting of the bottles is increased considerably the gasket (4) between the injector nozzle (3) and the injection cavity (1) is made of thermally insulating material and has a shape that is complementary to the shape of the cavity (1) for housing the end of the injector (3) in the injection cavity (1). Cutting of the sprue in specific conditions increases still more the resistance to bursting.

摘要: Thermoplastic printed wiring board spacers are fabricated by providing a water soluble partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol resin or fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol resin or a blend of partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol resin and fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol resin, the ratio thereof depending upon (1) the degree of hydrolyzation of the polyvinyl alcohol resins, (2) crystallinity associated with particular polyvinyl alcohol resins, (3) the fabrication temperatures of the printed wiring board to avoid spacer melting and (4) the degree of solubility in water of the spacer. The spacers are fabricated by injection molding the polyvinyl alcohol resins or desired polyvinyl alcohol resin mixture to provide a molded configuration having a runner system with spacers attached to a sub runner system by a very thin gate. The spacers are removed from the molded configuration by initially cooling the surface of the total molded configuration to a temperature at which the thin gate sections becomes very brittle. The cooled molded configuration is then subjected to tumbling or a jolt whereby the spacers break away from the runner system at the gates. As an alternative embodiment, the spacers as molded include ridges and recessed areas therein along one or preferably both opposite surfaces which, when in placed around component leads, permit gases emitted during the soldering process to have an avenue of escape and provide for increased exposed surface area to prevent premature melting of the spacer by keeping it cool during flow/wave solder process and provide greater surface area available to the solvent, resulting in more rapid dissolving of the spacer material during the spacer removal step.

摘要: A disc is provided which includes a disc body of disc shape having a center hole. An information recording area is formed on one side surface of the disc body. The information recording area has information thereon read by reflection of laser light. The information recording area has an inner circumferential edge positioned adjacent to the center hole. The disc body has a radius ranging from 39 mm to 80 mm, the center hole has a radius ranging from 7.5 mm to 7.55 mm, and the inner circumferential edge of the information recording area being positioned to extend from a radius of 15 mm to 22 mm from the center of the disc body. A disc may be manufactured by variations of the following disc manufacturing method including the steps of: supporting a stamper on a first mold by a supporting means; defining a forming space by clamping the first mold to a second mold; defining a center hole of the disc by advancing a center hole defining member into a center part of the forming space; connecting a injection means into the forming space by opening a gate member of a resin injection member and filling the forming space with a resin through a communicating hole from the injection means; and cooling the resin in the forming space after shutting off connection between the injection means and the forming space by closing the gate member of the resin injection member.
