Abstract:
A cleaning composition comprising: (i) a buffering system comprising a strong base and an organic acid; (ii) an alkanolamine; (iii) at least one surfactant chosen from a zwitterionic surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant, an ionic surfactant and mixtures thereof; and (iv) an organic solvent chosen from lower alkanols, glycol ethers and diethers, and mixtures thereof; wherein the pH of the composition is about 9 to about 13. These alkaline cleaning compositions are useful to remove burnt-on and/or baked-on soil deposits and grease.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to surfactant-based all-purpose cleaners useful for cleaning surfaces including household hard surfaces as well as glass. The cleaning compositions comprise an anionic sulfonate surfactant, a non-ionic aliphatic ethoxylated surfactant, an alcohol, and a residue-reducing agent. The cleaning compositions of the invention are effective in removing soils such as grease soil and in leaving un-rinsed or unwiped surfaces residue free.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition with a limited number of natural ingredients contains an anionic surfactant, a hydrophilic syndetic, nonionic surfactant and a hydrophobic syndetic. The cleaning composition can be used to clean laundry, soft surfaces, and hard surfaces and cleans as well or better than commercial compositions containing synthetically derived cleaning agents.
Abstract:
An alkaline detergent for an automatic analyzer is disclosed, which is consisted of an alkaline solution containing polyoxyalkylene alkylether as a nonionic surfactant, and a cloud point-adjusting organic solvent.
Abstract:
A composition, systems for dispensing the composition and methods for the use of the composition are described. The composition comprises: (A) Monohydric alcohol in an amount sufficient to provide antimicrobial activity; (B) Surfactant comprising a dimethicone surfactant; and (C) Builder, the builder in an amount sufficient to provide stability or to improve the stability of a foam formed from the composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a skin or surface disinfectant composition with broad spectrum antimicrobial activity comprising one or more essential oil (and/or one or more component thereof) and one or more fruit acid. The compositions of the invention may be used as non-toxic alternatives to conventional disinfectants or may be added to other antimicrobial agents to enhance their activity. The invention provides effective alternatives to harsher products which may be particularly useful in personal care and household products and where children and/or pet exposure may be a concern.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition with a limited number of natural ingredients contains alkyl polyglucoside, solvent, acetic acid and water. The cleaning composition optionally contains dyes, glycerol, builders, fatty acids, polymers, fragrances, colorants, anti-foaming agents and preservatives. The cleaning composition can be used to clean hard surfaces and cleans as well or better than commercial compositions containing synthetically derived cleaning agents.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method for stabilization of the perhydrolase activity of the CE-7 esterase in a formulation with a carboxylic acid ester that employs the addition of a buffering agent, substantially undissolved, to the mixture of the CE-7 esterase and the carboxylic acid ester. Further, disinfectant and laundry care formulations comprising the peracids produced by the processes described herein are provided.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are enzyme powders comprising a spray-dried formulation of at least one CE-7 esterase, at least one oligosaccharide excipient, and optionally at least one surfactant. Also disclosed herein is a process for producing peroxycarboxylic acids from carboxylic acid esters using the aforementioned enzyme powders. Further, disinfectant and laundry care formulations comprising the peracids produced by the processes described herein are provided.
