    摘要: Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to pairing HDCP-compatible transmitter and receiver devices. A transmitter device can scan one or more of its multimedia interfaces for a connected receiver device. When a connected receiver device is detected, the transmitter device determines whether the transmitter device is currently paired with the connected receiver device. If there is no current pairing, the transmitter device obtains at least a receiver KSV key from the receiver device and reads at least a transmitter KSV key from its memory. The pairing operation is either completed or terminated based on a user authentication process. If completed, the transmitter device encrypts at least the transmitter KSV key and the receiver KSV key. If terminated, the transmitter device disables the connected receiver device. Whether the pairing operation is terminated or completed, the transmitter device completes the bootup sequence.

During operation, the computer network device may receive an instance of a message from a second computer network device in a network via a port (such as a router port) associated with a link between the computer network device and the second computer network device. Based at least in part on the received instance of the message, the computer network device may identify the port as being a type of port (such as a passive neighbor port and a non-edge port in the network), and may not forward the instance of the message to one or more additional computer network devices via one or more additional ports (such as one or more additional router ports).

    摘要: It is common for device coupled to a primary network to have preferential access to network resources compared to a device coupled to a guest network. However, the quality of experience (QoE) is enhanced by providing automatic switching of a client device on a guest network to a primary network. The dynamic approach switches the network connection of a client device used by a guest user/client device from a guest network to a primary network based on one or more network conditions that are associated with the guest network, the primary network, or both. Seamlessly switching the client device to the primary network, when such does not impact existing users of the primary network, enhances the network experience of the client devices initially associated with the guest network.

    摘要: A network access device is configured to propagate Quality of Service (QoS) management through a heterogenous network. A Mirrored Stream Classification Service (MSCS) setup request having MSCS information or MSCS information that is proxied to a next hop in an uplink is received. The MSCS information identifies at least one traffic flow associated with a first user priority. A downlink rule is generated that matches the first user priority in the MSCS information in the uplink to a downlink traffic flow. The downlink rule is used to analyze the downlink traffic flow to match the MSCS information in the downlink that is the mirror of the MSCS information in the uplink. The user priority is applied to the downlink that mirrors the MSCS information in the uplink.

The control device selects a program code set based on the media device information. The control device transmits a program code set to the remote control device and a test command. The test command causes the remote control device to transmit a program code from the program code set based on the test command. One or more sensor modules may be attached or otherwise connected to one or more devices that are included within an HFC infrastructure. Each sensor module may include one or more sensors that capture monitoring signals. The sensor module may interface with a communication link that is associated with the device to which it is connected. The sensor module may process the captured monitoring signals and output the processed signals to a telemetry control center, the processed signals being output over a reverse signal path that is utilized by the device to which the sensor module is connected.
