Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a method and system for providing VoIP clients with the ability to confirm accuracy in conversation data over a digital communication channel. More specifically, a method and system is provided for verifying, via a visual representation whether a receiving client captures accurate information from a particular portion of the digital voice conversation. In response to a triggering event, a visual representation, including information extracted from the particular portion of the digital voice conversation, may be generated for verifying the accuracy. Based on the needs of the clients engaging in the conversation, one or more visual representations and corresponding verifications can be exchanged. In this manner, a multi-tiered oral agreement with authentication may be generated over a digital communication channel.

Abstract: A system that concurrently provides multiple user interface (UI) mechanisms that facilitate control of an application state machine (e.g., unified message system). More particularly, the invention can create two relatively distinct user experiences, one via dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) navigation and another through speech recognition navigation of a unified message system. In accordance therewith, one single underlying state machine can be used. Navigation and flow control (e.g., state transitions) in the state machine can be leveraged by multiple UI mechanisms that actively co-exist. The invention introduces speech recognition features together with other input mechanisms to drive the UI of an application state machine (e.g., unified messaging system). The speech recognition UI can be designed to provide a natural navigation through the application independent of a DTMF UI.

Abstract: Generally described, aspects of the present invention are directed at software systems for responding to a received voicemail message. In one embodiment, a selection user interface is provided where a primary callee may generate an event to create a draft voicemail message that is related to a received voicemail message. In response to receiving an event from the selection user interface to create a draft voicemail message, aspects of the present invention (1) create an electronic file to store the draft voicemail message, and (2) insert metadata into the electronic file that defines the relationship between the draft voicemail message and the received voicemail message. As a result, a callee may easily create a draft voicemail message that is related to a received voicemail message and have the draft voicemail message automatically populated with contextual data.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are directed to software that allows a callee to access and filter data related to a voicemail message. In accordance with one embodiment, searchable index key(s) are identified that are associated with a selected voicemail message. Then, a search is performed to identify data that is related to the selected voicemail message using the index key(s). Once the search is performed, a user interface is presented that references data identified as being related to the voicemail message. As a result, a callee may easily access and review data related to a voicemail message without being required to use multiple software applications.

Abstract: With the present invention, a reflow soldering method is provided for soldering a nonvertically approaching lead, which is part of a nonvertically approaching device (e.g, an edge connector), to a corresponding soldering surface (e.g., a pad on a circuit card) that includes solder. The soldering surface and solder are heated in an oven to melt the solder. While the solder is liquids, the nonvertically approaching lead is mated with the soldering surface as it is inserted into the solder. The soldering surface, solder, and nonvertically approaching lead are then cooled, and the solder solidifies to conductively mount the nonvertically approaching lead to the soldering surface.

Abstract: A refueling system for a nuclear power plant utilizing a data network to provide for automatic control and enhanced monitoring of the entire fuel transfer process. The refueling system of this invention provides integrated control of the refueling machine within the containment building, the spent fuel handling machine within the fuel storage building, and the fuel transfer system between the buildings. The system provides supervisory control of the overall system operation via a remote control station, while at the same time, having the capability for local on-line control of each element of the system in the event of network failure. The system may automatically identify individual fuel assemblies with an optical scanner. An in-mast sipper connected to the network automatically tests for leaking fuel assemblies. A revised core load pattern and a revised sequence plan can be calculated by the system in the event of the discovery of a leaking fuel assembly. The system may also include a fuel loading guide to facilitate the automatic loading of bowed fuel assemblies. Human interface with the system may be provided at a plurality of locations, including for example, a refueling control station and a remote status panel. The reactivity of the reactor core may be monitored by the system during core loading, and corrective action taken automatically if a predetermined setpoint is exceeded. Core spacing verification may also be performed automatically.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of automatically performing a calibration of the accuracy of placement of semiconductor chips or devices by a pick-and-place machine. The parts are placed on an adhesive-backed glass plate that has calibrated black marks whose dimensions match those of a specific part lead footprint. A gray scale camera mounted on the machine above the inverted glass plate records and sends a signal to a machine computer identifying the coordinates of exposed part silver lead area. The computer calculates part placement error and sends error data to a CRT or camera screen and alarm to alert an operator.
