Abstract:
An image signal processing method. A first coefficient indicating a probability that a first pixel of an input image is an edge may be calculated. A first edge enhanced signal where an edge of the input image is enhanced may be multiplied with the first coefficient, and a first low-pass filtered signal where the input image is low-pass filtered may be multiplied with a second coefficient indicating a probability that the first pixel is not an edge. The two calculated values may be added, and thus an edge enhanced signal may be generated.
Abstract:
A semiconductor package includes: a semiconductor chip having a first surface, and a second surface that is opposite to the first surface and allows a semiconductor device to be formed thereon; bonding pads disposed on the second surface of the semiconductor chip; and a metal ion barrier layer disposed on the first surface of the semiconductor chip, and preventing metal ions from penetrating into the semiconductor chip through the first surface of the semiconductor chip. Accordingly, the semiconductor package can obtain a superior semiconductor device by minimizing moisture absorption and effectively blocking the penetration of metal ions.
Abstract:
Methods of forming an integrated circuit device include forming an interlayer dielectric layer on a first surface of a semiconductor substrate and then forming an interconnect hole that extends through the interlayer dielectric layer and into the semiconductor substrate. A first sidewall spacer layer is formed on a sidewall of the interconnect hole. The semiconductor substrate at a bottom of the interconnect hole is isotropically etched to define an undercut recess in the semiconductor substrate. This etching step is performed using the first sidewall spacer layer as an etching mask. The interconnect hole and the uncut recess are then filled with a through-via electrode. A second surface of the semiconductor substrate is removed for a sufficient duration to expose the uncut recess containing the through-via electrode.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an interworking system between IP networks using different IP address format, an application layer gateway (ALG) server, a network address translator, an interworking method, and a SIP message routing method. The interworking system between a local network using a private IP and a public network using a public IP includes a STUN server and an application layer gateway (ALG) server. The STUN server provides binding information of header information of a public IP binding request. The application layer gateway (ALG) server performs a public IP binding request with header information changed by IP masquerading, and performs routing by applying the received binding information to media receiving address information of a SIP message.
Abstract:
Provided are an image signal processing apparatus and method. According to the image signal processing method, by simultaneously performing in an integrated manner image denoising and interpolation using 4-directional image gradient information which defines differences in color brightness between adjacent pixels on the basis of edge direction information obtained from a bayer image output from an image sensor, it is possible to improve picture quality and processing speed.
Abstract:
Provided is a resource allocation apparatus and method in a multi frequency-time division multiple access (MF-TDMA) broadband satellite system, which can employ timeslots in a return link with a maximum throughput promptly, by dividing a timeslot assignment problem minimizing a weighted sum in response to a resource allocation request from terminals into a first sub-problem for deciding the number of timeslots to be allocated to each class of each terminal and a second sub-problem for selecting timeslots to be allocated to each terminal. The method includes the steps of accumulating an amount of resource requests created during a super-frame period for each terminal, deciding a resource allocation amount to be allocated to each class, and selecting and mapping timeslots to be allocated to each terminal based on the decided resource allocation amount. This invention may advantageously be applied to the MF-TDMA broadband satellite system.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus for estimating a phase error and a phase error correcting system using the phase error estimating apparatus. The apparatus includes: a probability value estimating unit for estimating a negative log probability value for each transmission symbol by transforming a soft output information transferred from the outside to a log A posterior probability ratio (LAPPR) value; an APP value calculating unit for calculating a posterior probability (APP) value by applying a negative exponential function to the transmission symbol; an average value deciding unit for deciding an average value for each transmission symbol using the probability information entirely, partially, or selectively according to a probability information type; and a symbol phase estimating unit for estimating a phase of a symbol based on the decided average value.
Abstract:
Vapor Axial Deposition (VAD) apparatus and method is provided. The VAD apparatus includes a first torch, a second torch, a thermometer, a controller, and a moving device. The first torch grows a core by depositing a soot at an end of a soot preform arranged on an axis. The second torch grows a clad by depositing a soot on the face of the core. The thermometer detects the temperature of the end of the soot preform along the axis and the temperature of an other/lower portion of the core. The controller calculates a difference between a temperature (T1) of the end of the soot preform and a temperature (T4) of a lower portion of the core and controls the movement of the soot preform according to the difference. The moving device moves the soot preform along the axis according to the instruction of the controller.
Abstract:
An apparatus for fabricating a soot preform includes at least one torch for depositing soot generated by flame hydrolysis on the soot preform. A vaporizer vaporizes a liquid source material. A heater heats a dilution gas. The vaporizer and the heater respectively supply, to the torch, the vaporized source material and the heated dilution gas together through a single pipe.
