Abstract:
The present disclosure pertains to a method for plasma etching a semiconductor film stack. The film stack includes at least one layer comprising silicon oxynitride. The method includes etching the silicon oxynitride-comprising layer using an etchant gas mixture comprising chlorine and at least one compound containing fluorine and carbon. The atomic ratio of fluorine to chlorine in the etchant gas ranges between about 3:1 and about 0.01:1; preferably, between about 0.5:1 and about 0.01:1; most preferably, between about 0.25:1 and about 0.1:1. The etchant gas forms a fluorine-comprising polymer or species which deposits on exposed surfaces adjacent to the silicon oxynitride-comprising layer in an amount sufficient to reduce the etch rate of an adjacent material (such as a photoresist) while permitting the etching of the silicon oxynitride-comprising layer.

Abstract:
The disclosed technology describes methods for the selection, design and production of custom-fit eyeglasses, using a 3D printer. Embodiments include an eye examination and biometric measurements of a patient. The data can be used to produce custom-fit eyeglass frames. Eyeglass selection is facilitated by the display of a selection of various frames in both digital and physical form. A 3D version of the patient's head may be created from digital images, which can be used to produce a final version of the eyeglass frame. Lens dimensions may be traced and the trace used to modify the eyeglass frame. Half of an eyeglass frame may be generated, from which a mirror image is created, and a final frame produced from the resulting image. Also disclosed is an electronic device system which receives, processes and transmits data for the production of custom-fit eyeglass frames.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an addressable multi-channel peristaltic pump. According to the invention, this pump design allows for selection and operation of one or more pump heads on a drive shaft, while locking other non-selected pump heads in a stationary position. It is possible to operate the multi-channel pump using a limited number of motors, preferably two motors: a selector motor and a dispense motor. Thus, the pump provides for pumping or dispensing of one or more fluids without the need for multiple pumps. Likewise, compared with typical single motor multi-channel systems, where all pump heads on the drive shaft must rotate at the same time, the present invention provides for selective dispensing of one or more fluids. The pumps of the present invention are suitable for any multiple fluid transfer application, including in automated multi-channel reagent dispensing systems, such as nucleic acid purification systems.
Abstract:
A window tilt latch has a casing, a latching bolt and a safety device. The latching bolt is mounted slidably in the casing and has a latching end, an inner end and a sliding element. The latching end extends out of the casing. The sliding element is mounted on the latching bolt and is mounted slidably in a guiding slot defined in the casing. The safety device is mounted on the casing and has a control knob mounted rotatably on the casing, selectively abuts with the inner end of the latching bolt to keep the latching bolt from being retracted into the casing. The control knob has an inserting hole selectively aligning with the inner end of the latching bolt to allow the inner end of the latching bolt to be inserted into the inserting hole and to retract the latching bolt into the casing.

Methods of treating an eye of a human or animal include administering to an eye of a human or animal a composition in the form of an emulsion including water, a hydrophobic component and a cyclosporin component in a therapeutically effective amount of less than 0.1% by weight of the composition. The weight ratio of the cyclosporin component to the hydrophobic component is less than 0.8.
Abstract:

Methods of treating diseases or conditions using said compositions, and medicaments related thereto, are also disclosed herein.
Abstract:
An integrated receiver with channel selection and image rejection substantially implemented on a single CMOS integrated circuit is described. A receiver front end provides programable attenuation and a programable gain low noise amplifier. Frequency conversion circuitry advantageously uses LC filters integrated onto the substrate in conjunction with image reject mixers to provide sufficient image frequency rejection. Filter tuning and inductor Q compensation over temperature are performed on chip. The filters utilize multi track spiral inductors. The filters are tuned using local oscillators to tune a substitute filter, and frequency scaling during filter component values to those of the filter being tuned. In conjunction with filtering, frequency planning provides additional image rejection. The advantageous choice of local oscillator signal generation methods on chip is by PLL out of band local oscillation and by direct synthesis for in band local oscillator. The VCOs in the PLLs are centered using a control circuit to center the tuning capacitance range. A differential crystal oscillator is advantageously used as a frequency reference. Differential signal transmission is advantageously used throughout the receiver.
