    摘要: A transmission throttle valve for use in a hydraulic control system of an automotive automatic power transmission, comprising a valve plunger movable with the accelerator pedal of an automotive vehicle and, a valve spool engaging the valve plunger through a spring urging the valve plunger and the valve spool to axially move in opposite directions relative to each other for producing a fluid pressure variable with the displacement of the accelerator pedal, wherein the valve spool is formed with an axial bore open at both ends and has the valve plunger slidably passed through the bore while the valve plunger is formed with a laterally enlarged axial portion forming a variable-volume space in which the fluid pressure developed by the transmission throttle valve is to be admitted to urge the valve plunger to axially move against the force of the spring so as to save the driver's effort for depressing the accelerator pedal.

    摘要: During D-RANGE operation under which a 4-2 downshift is required, a 4-2 downshift sequence valve is responsive to the pressure which is supplied to a friction element which is involved with the production of 3rd gear, and is maintained in a position wherein the 4th speed apply chamber of a band brake servo is maintained pressurized, until such time as the pressure in the 3rd speed friction element drops below a predetermined limit.When a manual valve is moved out of the D-RANGE position to one wherein engine braking is required, a control pressure is applied to the 4-2 sequence valve which immediately switches it to a position wherein it drains the 4th speed apply chamber irrespective of the 3rd speed pressure. At the same time an overrunning clutch control valve is supplied with the same control pressure and is moved to a position wherein an overrunning clutch is supplied with line pressure and engaged to enable engine braking.

    摘要: A control for an automatic transmission with a lock-up type torque converter, comprises a lock-up control valve, a forward clutch control valve, an electromagnetic valve, and a shuttle valve. The shuttle valve normally assumes a first position where a control signal regulated by the electromagnetic valve is supplied to the forward clutch control valve to render same to regulate forward pressure for activating a forward clutch. The shuttle valve shifts to a second position thereof when the transmission establishes forward speed ratios except the first speed ratio. In the second position of the shuttle valve, the control pressure regulated by the electromagnetic valve is supplied to the lock-up control valve to render same to effect slip control and lock-up control of the torque converter.

The one-way flow bypass passage prevents fluid flow therethrough toward the clutch.

    摘要: The control valve assembly comprises a lock-up valve (801) to control engagement of a lock-up clutch (L) and a lock-up timing valve (802) to control the supply of a first fluid pressure to the lock-up valve. The first fluid pressure biases the lock-up valve to effect engagement of the lock-up clutch. The lock-up timing valve is moved to shut off the supply of the bias oil pressure to the lock-up valve when the second signal oil pressure rises above a first predetermined value to allow the lock-up valve to move to a first position thereof to release the engagement of the lock-up clutch. The lock-up valve is moved from the first position thereof to a second position thereof to effect reengagement of the lock-up clutch when the second signal oil pressure increases above a second predetermined value which is higher than the first predetermined value.

    摘要: A transmission includes a plurality of friction units to effect shifting between gear ratios, one of which includes driving and driven elements which may operate with a speed differential at the time of shifting between gear ratios. A first or line pressure is generated which is variable in a first pattern corresponding approximately to the pattern of torque output of the vehicle engine. This pressure is supplied to a friction unit other than the one friction unit to operate such other friction unit. A second pressure is generated which is variable in a second pattern corresponding approximately to a combination of the pattern of the engine torque output and the pattern of differential speed between the driving and driven elements of said one friction unit at the time of engagement of the elements. The second pressure is directed to said one friction unit to operate such one friction unit.
