The present disclosure relates, according to some embodiments, to compositions, apparatus, methods, and systems that may be used to produce polyols, for example, polyether polyols with a narrow range of molecular weights, with little if any unsaturated byproducts, in a sustained and/or continuous reaction, with efficient heat transfer, and/or at high production rates. For example, in some embodiments, teachings of the disclosure may be used to produce polyether polyols in a continuous loop flow process. A continuous loop flow process may be practiced such that heat is effectively transferred and/or product properties (e.g., range of molecular weights) are controllable. For example, a continuous loop flow process may use one or more continuous flow loops comprising a heat exchanger, a means to move material around each loop, inlets for catalyst, monomer, initiator or starter, and an outlet for polyol product.

A unique comonomer content in the soft segment of the OBC in conjunction with the presence of a polyolefin provides the present oil-extended OBC composition with softness, low (or no) tack, and low (or no) oil-bleed.

The present invention pertains to an ethylene interpolymer composition characterized as having a narrow molecular weight distribution (MWD) and optimized compositional uniformity, a process for making such a composition and a fabricated article made from such composition. The novel composition is characterized as having at least two polymer components, the first component having an ATREF peak temperature, Tpeak1 and a viscosity average molecular weight, Mv1, and the second component having an ATREF peak temperature, Tpeak2, and a viscosity average molecular, Mv2, wherein the temperature differential between Tpeak2 and Tpeak1 decreases with increased composition density and Mv1/Mv2 is less than or equal to 1.2. The novel composition is further characterized as having a Mw/Mn of less than or equal to 3.3 as determined by gel permeation chromatography, an I10/I2>6.6, and a composition density less than 0.945 gram/cubic centimeter. The novel composition exhibits high, balanced toughness properties, good processibility and surprisingly improved optical properties and is particularly well-suited for use in applications such as lamination films trash can liners and heavy duty shipping bags, especially as a blown film.

This application relates to flexible gaskets formed from blends of linear or substantially linear homogeneously branched ethylene/.alpha.-olefin interpolymers and that possess improved processability as well as low temperature resistance and resistance to staining and attack by microbes. Such gaskets do not require formulation other than the addition of color, to produce a functional product. The gaskets of the present invention do not impact negatively on the environment and are also relatively inexpensive to produce.
