摘要： A computer-implemented draft authentication method for use in e-commerce includes the steps of establishing partner relationships between a financial institution and a plurality of World Wide Web (Web) vendors and storing, for each of a plurality of Web customers, at least one piece of unique identifying information linked to the Web customer's financial information. Web customers executing drafts or causing drafts to be executed by the Web vendors and presented to the financial institution are authenticated by immediately encrypting at least a portion of an identification data set provided by the Web customer over the network and by successfully matching the immediately encrypted identification data set with the stored piece(s) of encrypted identifying information. The Web customer's financial information is then retrieved only by the financial institution and constraints are established based on the retrieved information. The financial institution then honors drafts presented by the Web vendors with whom the drawee has a partner relationship only when the Web customer is successfully authenticated and the constraints are satisfied. Only the identification information (such as biometric data and/or ID and password pairs) of each of the Web customers is securely replicated from the financial institution to each of the Web vendors. LDAP-compatible Directory software may be utilized as the means of storing, processing and replicating the Web customer's identification information to each of the Web vendors. The financial institution warrants the security of the system and controls the replication and content of the Directories at each of the Web vendor sites.

摘要： A process is provided for the preparation of albumin which has extremely low levels of or is essentially free of colorants, metal ions, human proteins, host proteins, fragments of albumin, polymers or aggregates of albumin and viruses, and which is essentially non-glycated, relatively high in free thiol and with an intact C-terminus. The process comprises passing albumin (preferably expressed and secreted by transformed yeast) through positive mode cation exchange and then positive mode anion exchange chromatography. Other steps may also be employed, for example ultrafiltration, gel permeation chromatography, affinity chromatography binding the albumin (for example using blue dyes) and affinity chromatography binding contaminants (for example using an aminophenylboronic acid resin). Elution of albumin, with a compound having affinity for albumin, from a material having no specific affinity for albumin is also disclosed, as is removal of ammonium ions with a counter-ion.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, two separate types of packets may be received to indicate information which is required. One type of packet is intended for information which may be directly looked up in a table, such as a routing table, while the other type of packet is intended for information which requires calculating or measuring metrics. 摘要： Methods for classifying plants by remote sensing and image analysis technology are presented. These methods are useful for evaluating plants and for selecting plants for a plant breeding program which has as its goal to selectively alter phenotype. The methods combine the newer techniques of remote sensing technology to obtain indirect correlates of the traits of interest, with classical pedigree breeding strategies. Thermal and infrared reflectance measures of plant canopies are examples of energy values measured by remote sensing, used to indirectly predict the selected traits.
