摘要: The present invention provides unimolecular metal complexes having increased activity in the copolymerization of carbon dioxide and epoxides. Also provided are methods of using such metal complexes in the synthesis of polymers. According to one aspect, the present invention provides metal complexes comprising an activating species with catalytic activity tethered to a ligand that is coordinated to the active metal center of the complex.

摘要: The present invention relates to a dry reforming catalyst in which an active material is impregnated on the surface of a metal oxide support and the active material is surrounded by a surfactant, a method of preparing the same, and a method of producing a synthetic gas using the catalyst. Since the surfactant on the surface of the active material prevents the active material from being sintered and the active material surface from being covered with carbon, the dry reforming catalyst exhibits high activity at high temperature for a long period of time without having to use a precious metal, and thus is useful for the production of a synthetic gas.

摘要: Disclosed are high strength polyurethane foam compositions and methods of making them. In one aspect, the inventive polyurethane foams include strength enhancing additives comprising one or more polycarbonate polyols derived from the copolymerization of CO2 and one or more epoxides. In one aspect, the inventive methods include the step of substituting a portion of the polyether polyol in the B-side of a foam formulation with one or more polycarbonate polyols derived from the copolymerization of CO2 and one or more epoxides.

摘要: The disclosure pertains to amphiphilic block copolymers comprising an aliphatic polycarbonate chain coupled to a hydrophilic polymer. Such amphiphilic polymers may have the formula A-L-B, where A- is a polycarbonate or polyethercarbonate chain having from about 3 to about 500 repeating units, L is a linker moiety and —B is a hydrophilic oligomer having from about 4 to about 200 repeating units. Provided copolymers are useful as surfactants capable of emulsifying aqueous solutions and supercritical carbon dioxide. Provided copolymers also have utility as additives for use in enhanced oil recovery methods.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a carbonate salt. The method for preparing a carbonate salt can provide a useful material by implementing a carbon dioxide capture method via a capturing agent such as ammonia with an electrolytic device to produce a carbonate salt, and thus capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Further, the preparation method may purely produce a carbonate salt without generating by-products using electric energy, and at the same time, the capturing agent may be reused without any additional process. Furthermore, the preparation method may selectively provide a carbonate salt in the desired form by adjusting the pH of a solution containing the carbonate salt using the electrolysis of water.

摘要: Processes herein may be used to thermally crack various hydrocarbon feeds, and may eliminate the refinery altogether while making the crude to chemicals process very flexible in terms of crude. In embodiments herein, crude is progressively separated into at least light and heavy fractions. Depending on the quality of the light and heavy fractions, these are routed to one of three upgrading operations, including a fixed bed hydroconversion unit, a fluidized catalytic conversion unit, or a residue hydrocracking unit that may utilize an ebullated bed reactor. Products from the upgrading operations may be used as feed to a steam cracker.
