Abstract:
A backlight assembly with excellent light efficiency and a display device provided with the backlight assembly is provided where the backlight assembly includes a plurality of light sources longitudinally arranged in parallel to each other, and a fixing member receiving the plurality of light sources. When a display area, formed by light emitted from the plurality of light sources, is divided by the plurality of light sources into a plurality of display area sections, an average area of the display area sections between light sources adjacent to each other is less than or equal to an area of a display area section between an edge of the display area and the light source most adjacent thereto.
Abstract:
A method for obtaining an image using a selective combination of wavelengths of light includes dispersing a light in accordance with wavelength bands of the light using a dispersing member, irradiating the dispersed light onto an object to measure reflectivities of the light reflected from the object in accordance with the wavelength bands of the light, comparing reflectivity differences between an objective region and a peripheral region of the object, selecting wavelength bands having the reflectivity differences indicated as either positive values or negative values, adjusting the dispersing member to transmit only the light having the selected wavelength bands, passing light only having the selected wavelength bands through the dispersing member to irradiate the light that has passed through the dispersing member onto the object, taking photographs of the object using the irradiated light, and superposing the photographs of the object to obtain the image of the object.
Abstract:
A plasma display device including a plasma display panel having a front substrate and a rear substrate, wherein an inner surface of the front substrate is disposed to face an inner surface of the rear substrate, a flexible filter disposed adjacent to an outer surface of the front substrate, and a first adhesive member disposed along an edge of the flexible filter and fixing the flexible filter in place.
Abstract:
An ice supply device and a refrigerator having the same. The ice supply device includes an ice tray provided with an outlet for discharging ice cubes therethrough at one side thereof, a conveying device installed in the ice tray and rotated to convey the ice cubes toward the outlet, an ice crushing device, installed at the outlet, for crushing the ice cubes conveyed toward the outlet, a pressure device having a hollowed cylindrical structure for pushing the ice cubes to the ice crushing device by applying pressure to the ice cubes, and a catching member, by which the ice cubes outwardly protruded from an inlet of the pressure device are caught. The ice cubes exceeding designated dimensions, which do not pass through the pressure device and are outwardly protruded from the pressure device, are caught by the catching member and are sliced away from main portions of the ice cubes, thereby reducing the sizes of the ice cubes and allowing the ice cubes to be smoothly supplied.
Abstract:
Provided are a nonvolatile semiconductor memory device including ferroelectric semiconductor patterns in respective memory cells and methods of writing and reading data. The device includes a substrate; a plurality of first conductive lines disposed in or on the substrate; a plurality of second conductive lines disposed in or on the substrate and having a different height from the first conductive lines, wherein the second conductive lines intersect the first conductive lines, respectively, to define a plurality of intersection regions; and a plurality of memory cells disposed on the substrate. Herein, the memory cells include ferroelectric semiconductor patterns, respectively, which are disposed between the first conductive lines and the second conductive lines that define the intersection regions.
Abstract:
A parallel test circuit performs a selective test on a specific bank. The bank selectable parallel test circuit comprises a bank selecting control unit and a plurality of bank selecting units. The bank selecting control unit outputs a test mode control signal for selecting a test mode in response to a parallel test signal for controlling a parallel test and a compression test signal for controlling bank selection in the parallel test. Each of the plurality of bank selecting units, which correspond one by one to banks, selectively activates the corresponding banks in response to the test mode control signal and a bank selecting control signal.
Abstract:
Provided is a horse-riding bicycle in which a horse-riding effect is obtained by performing both normal driving and horse-riding driving (swinging driving), a user is allowed to simply switch a driving mode between a normal driving mode and a horse-riding driving mode, and a horse-riding driving structure is improved to have a simple structure so that a reduction in costs is achieved and, further, a switching operation between the normal driving mode and the horse-riding driving mode is smoothly performed.
Abstract:
Provided is a necktie retaining clip which is connected to the back of a necktie to secure the necktie to a shirt, the necktie retaining clip including: a plate-shaped attachment member connected to a loop of cloth sewn on the back of the necktie so as to be detachable and having a fastening piece formed on the lower end portion thereof; a connecting member that connects the attachment member and a retaining member; and the retaining member connected to the connecting member so as to be rotatable. It is possible to tightly secure a necktie by connecting the retaining clip to a shirt, thereby preventing the necktie from falling to the front or being tilted and facilitating wearing and attaching/detaching the retaining clip.
Abstract:
A clock signal processor includes a duty cycle corrector, a switch point calculator, and a multiplexer. The duty cycle corrector generates a second clock signal by modifying a duty cycle of a first clock signal. The switch point calculator activates a switch signal at an end of a latency period in which a read command is provided to a non-volatile memory device and an invalid data is read from the non-volatile memory device. The multiplexer outputs one of the first and second clock signals as a third clock signal based on the switch signal.
