摘要: An image reading device reads out an image of a document being conveyed above one main surface of a contact glass, changes a document reading position if the image has an abnormality, and gives a warning if the changed document reading position is located at a predetermined reference position. The image reading device has a setting portion for changing the reference position in accordance with the number of documents that have passed the document reading position during the time when no abnormality in images is obtained by reading the documents.

摘要: A malfunction detection device of a bellows type accumulator for pressurized fluid includes malfunction judgment unit for judging a malfunction of the bellows type accumulator on the basis of a detection output of the pressure sensor. The malfunction judgement unit judges that the malfunction of the seal member generates when the difference between a peak pressure value appeared before a predetermined time is past after the starting of the pressure increase from a value below a predetermined value in the inlet and outlet port and a stable fluid pressure appeared after the appearance of the peak pressure value is not within a predetermined range and/or when the peak pressure value does not appear before the progress of the predetermined time.

摘要: A vehicle hydraulic brake apparatus includes a brake member, a master cylinder generating a brake hydraulic pressure by increasing the pressure of brake fluid in a reservoir, a master piston moved forward in response to operation of the brake member, a closed chamber defined behind the master piston, a power piston disposed behind the master piston, and a power chamber defined behind the power piston. An auxiliary hydraulic pressure source generates power hydraulic pressure and a pressure regulating device connects the auxiliary hydraulic pressure source with the reservoir. The power hydraulic pressure is regulated to a predetermined hydraulic pressure and is fed to the power chamber. A normally-open type valve connects the closed chamber and the power chamber, and is closable upon operation of the brake member. The closed chamber is connected to the reservoir via the normally-open type valve, the power chamber and the pressure regulating device.

摘要: An optical signal processing apparatus includes a first optical waveguide and a first slab waveguide configured to equally distribute an output light of the first optical waveguide. A first arrayed waveguide includes an aggregate of optical waveguides changing in optical length by a constant interval for dividing the output light. A second slab waveguide focuses the optical output of the first arrayed waveguide. A spatial filter receives incident light focused by the second slab waveguide and distributes the incident light on a straight line. The spatial filter also modulates the light into a desired amplitude according to the position on the straight line. The apparatus also includes a second arrayed waveguide and an aggregate of optical waveguides changing in optical length by a constant interval for applying light modulated by the spatial filter to the second arrayed waveguide. Structure is provided for converging the output light of said second arrayed waveguide to a single point. The resulting output light is then appiled to a second optical waveguide.

摘要: An apparatus continuously manufactures a semiconductor device. A plurality of glow discharge regions are connected by gas gates. An enough long belt-shaped substrate having a desired width is arranged along a path in which the substrate sequentially penetrates the glow discharge regions. The belt-shaped substrate is continuously conveyed in a longitudinal direction while depositing a semiconductor layer of a conductivity type which is needed in each of the glow discharge regions, thereby continuously manufacturing the device having a semiconductor junction. A plurality of rotatable rollers are arranged in a slit-shaped separating passage of the gas gates so as to support the back surface of the belt-shaped substrate while rotating the rollers.
