摘要： A personal computer comprises a heat dissipation plate installed on a floor of its case, a motherboard disposed apart from the heat dissipation plate by a predetermined distance, and a daughter board disposed in such a manner that the motherboard is positioned between the heat dissipation plate and the daughter board. The daughter board is mounted with a central processing unit which generates heat. The motherboard is provided with a hole. A heat dissipation block extends from the heat dissipation plate through the hole in the motherboard, and is connected to the central processing unit through a heat conductive coupler. This forms a heat dissipation path which passes through the central processing unit, the heat dissipation block, the heat dissipation plate, and the case. In addition, another heat dissipation block is interposed between a keyboard and the daughter board so that another heat dissipation path can be formed through the central processing unit, another heat dissipation block, another heat dissipation plate, and the keyboard. A heat pipe may be connected to a heat dissipation plate.

摘要： A character string search arithmetic operation is performed at high speed with a small hardware scale processing module, such as a symbol string search module. The search module is connected to a CPU through address and data buses and includes a function definition section for defining a function of the apparatus in accordance with a command from the CPU, a data input/output section for receiving a symbol string to be searched through the data bus and for outputting the result of a search. A search processing section performs the search based on a function defined by the function definition section. A symbol string to be searched for, which is internally stored, is compared with the symbol string data input to the module's data input/output means. A condition holding section holds data indicative of an internal condition corresponding to the result of the search processing. Thereby, the CPU and the symbol string search module can perform the search at high speed.

Due to the structure, a thickness W0 of an air bag module measured at the inflator installing portion is made small. The inflator supporting member includes a first portion and a second portion. In a case where a hook portion is formed in the first portion, the number of parts can be reduced. In a case where the inflator is located at a lower portion of a housing space, a handling force for opening and closing the glove door is light. In a case where the first portion comprises a bottom wall of the air bag casing and the second portion comprises a side wall of the air bag casing, the number of parts is reduced.

The second opening portions are formed as circular holes with smaller diameters than the first opening portions. The second opening portions are disposed at positions opposing the knees of a small occupant in a sitting state.

摘要： The present invention relates to a system and method for controlling air conditioning facilities, and a system and method for power management of a computer room. In an air-conditioning facility control system of a computer room (cooling room) equipped with air-conditioning facilities for air-cooling the computer room in which a large number of information processing units are installed, an air-conditioner monitoring and controlling unit calculates a temperature sensitivity coefficient of each information processing unit, and that of each air conditioner, and then determines discharge air temperature of each air conditioner by use of the temperature sensitivity coefficients in such a manner that the sum of squares of a deviation of a change in discharge air temperature of each information processing unit becomes the smallest, and in such a manner that the sum total of the power consumption of the individual air conditioners becomes the smallest. Moreover, a calorific value of each information processing unit is determined in such a manner that the sum total of the power consumption of the individual air conditioners becomes the smallest. The air-conditioner monitoring and controlling unit instructs each individual air conditioner to adjust the discharge air temperature thereof to the calculated value. Next, the information-processing-unit monitoring and controlling unit assigns a job (load) to each information processing unit on the basis of the calorific value of each information processing unit.This makes it possible to minimize the power consumption of the air-conditioning facilities with cooling air temperature conditions, which are required by each information processing unit disposed in the computer room, satisfied. Moreover, by calculating a ratio of a load placed on each information processing unit, the power consumption of the computer room as a whole can be reduced in cooperation with a monitoring and controlling unit on the information processing unit side.
