    摘要： An apparatus or corresponding method of managing Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines in a Passive Optical Network (PON) to prevent an alarm system from generating an alarm during a software upgrade or maintenance of an Optical Network Terminal (ONT), Optical Line Terminal (OLT), or PON while maintaining the effectiveness of the alarm system. The ONT may store data related to a POTS line in nonvolatile memory. The ONT may activate the POTS line based on the data from the nonvolatile memory in an event of interruption in communications with an OLT prior to reestablishing communications with the OLT. The interruption in communications may be caused by an ONT reboot to complete an installation of a software upgrade. The ONT may energize the POTS line with a voltage in response to activating the POTS line to prevent the alarm system from generating the alarm.

    摘要： A method for storing and transporting fruit, particularly bananas, so as to provide an optimized atmosphere for ripening of the fruit, is disclosed. The method utilizes fruit placed within a flexible bag which is placed in a box comprising a container and a lid. In this method, the lid is removed from the box and the neck of the flexible bag is opened so that the fruit is open to the atmosphere. A flexible cover, which is at least partially gas-permeable, is placed over the opening of the container; and the lid is replaced on the box over the flexible cover.

    摘要： A device for controlling the composition inside a shipping/storage container for produce, such as bananas, is disclosed. Such atmospheric control is particularly important when dealing with the ripening of respiring fruit. The device comprises a chamber surrounded by an outer wall, at least a portion of that wall made up of a selectively gas-permeable membrane which is in communication with the outside atmosphere. The chamber also includes at least two channels which are connected to the container: one which transmits gas form the chamber to the container, and one which transmits gas from the container to the chamber.

The present medical devices comprises a platform comprising a magnetically-attractive material, and a camera coupled to the platform and configured to be moved in at least three degrees of freedom relative to the platform, where the camera's movement in each respective degree of freedom is controlled by a separate actuator coupled to the platform. Some embodiments of the present multi-degree-of-freedom cameras for a medical procedure, comprises a platform comprising a magnetically-attractive material, an apparatus to moving the platform within a body cavity of a patient when the apparatus is outside the body cavity, the apparatus comprising a magnetic assembly, and a camera coupled to the platform, and configured to be moved in at least three degrees of freedom relative to the platform, where the camera's movement in each respective degree of freedom is controlled by a separate actuator coupled to the platform.
