    摘要: A process for producing methanol is described in which a hydrocarbon is steam reformed in a reforming zone, and during the reforming stage, of a cyclic steam reformer having a reforming stage and a regeneration stage, the steam reforming being conducted under conditions effective to produce a first effluent stream containing synthesis gas. Fuel and an oxygen-containing gas are combusted in the regeneration stage of the reformer so as to reheat the reforming zone to a temperature sufficient for the reforming stage and generate a flue gas. At least part of the first effluent stream is contacted with a methanol synthesis catalyst under conditions effective to convert synthesis gas to methanol and form a methanol-containing stream and a tail gas stream comprising unreacted carbon monoxide and hydrogen. At least part of the tail gas stream is recycled as fuel for the regeneration stage of the cyclic steam reformer.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for converting an oxygenate feedstock into an olefin product stream comprising (a) contacting an oxygenate feedstock with a molecular sieve catalyst in a reactor under conditions effective to convert the feedstock into an olefin product stream and to form carbonaceous deposits on the catalyst; (b) contacting at least a portion of the catalyst having said carbonaceous deposits with an oxygen containing gas under conditions effective to obtain a regenerated catalyst having a reduced carbonaceous deposit level and having an increased molecular oxygen content; (c) removing at least 60% by volume of said molecular oxygen from the regenerated catalyst based upon the total volume of molecular oxygen; (d) returning said regenerated catalyst to said reactor; and (e) repeating steps (a)–(d).

    摘要: A process is disclosed for converting dicyclopentadiene to cyclopentane and/or cyclopentene, wherein dicyclopentadiene is fed to a catalytic distillation column, the dicyclopentadiene is cracked to cyclopentadiene in the catalytic distillation column, the cyclopentadiene is hydrogenated to cyclopentane in the catalytic distillation column, and the cyclopentane is recovered from the catalytic distillation column. The dicyclopentadiene is fed into and cracked to cyclopentadiene at the bottom of the catalytic distillation column. Hydrogen is then fed to the catalytic distillation column below the catalytic zone, where cyclopentadiene is hydrogenated as it is produced, thus suppressing polymerization of the cyclopentadiene. The resulting cyclopentane and/or cyclopentene vapor phase stream is condensed, thereby producing a liquid stream of cyclopentane and/or cyclopentene and a vapor stream of hydrogen and other off-gas by-products.

    摘要: A method for producing a cyclopentane product which comprises the following steps: (a) cracking dicyclopentadiene to form a cyclopentadiene-rich stream and a higher boiling liquids stream; (b) separating the cyclopentadiene-rich stream from the higher boiling liquids stream; (c) diluting the cyclopentadiene-rich stream with recycled saturates such that the cyclopentadiene content is limited to between about 5-50%; (d) conducting a first hydrogenation of the cyclopentadiene-rich stream in the presence of hydrogen and a first catalyst, and at a temperature (i.e., preferably between about 26 to 94.degree. C., more preferably in the range between about 37 to 66.degree. C.) which is capable of avoiding the repolymerization of cyclopentadiene to dicyclopentadiene, thereby forming a cyclopentadiene-depleted stream; (e) conducting a second hydrogenation of the cyclopentadiene-depleted stream in the presence of a second catalyst wherein any residual olefins and/or cyclopentadiene contained within the cyclopentadiene-depleted stream are saturated, thereby forming a crude cyclopentane product; and (f) flash stripping the crude cyclopentane product to form the cyclopentane product comprising about 95% pure cyclopentane.
