Abstract: An apparatus for detecting the end of a communication is disclosed. The apparatus includes an interface circuit for receiving an encoded signal and a carrier signal recovery circuit coupled to an output of the interface circuit. The carrier signal recovery circuit is configured to output a carrier signal of the encoded signal and a second signal that is out of phase with the carrier signal. The apparatus also includes a decoding circuit configured to decode the encoded signal as a function of both the encoded signal and the carrier signal output by the carrier signal recovery circuit. The apparatus also includes a detection circuit configured to detect an indication of an end of a communication in the encoded signal as a function of both the encoded signal and the second signal.

In one example, a decoding circuit, having an decoding range, for translating a data-frame signal having an information portion and a bias portion into an output code; and a bias adjust circuit coupled to receive the output code from the decoding circuit, and adjust the bias portion of the data-frame signal such that the output code is within the decoding range is disclosed. Abstract: An apparatus for detecting the end of a communication is disclosed. Abstract: The invention provides a clock select circuit and method which uses feedback arrangements between latches in different branches, with each branch for coupling an associated clock signal to the circuit output. An override circuit is provided in one of the feedback arrangements for preventing a latching delay in that feedback arrangement. This enables rapid switching between clocks in both directions.

Abstract: There is described a device for determining an angle of arrival of a received RF signal, the device comprising (a) a first antenna and a second antenna arranged with a predetermined distance between them on an antenna axis, the first antenna having a larger gain than the second antenna for directions corresponding to one side of the antenna axis, the second antenna having a larger gain than the first antenna for directions corresponding to the other side of the antenna axis, (b) receiver circuitry coupled to the first antenna and to the second antenna, the receiver circuitry being configured to determine a first phase and a first signal strength of a signal received by the first antenna and to determine a second phase and a second signal strength of a signal received by the second antenna, and (c) angle determining circuitry configured to determine the angle of arrival based on the first phase, the second phase, the first signal strength, and the second signal strength.
