Abstract:
A server implements a marketing method. The server may receive a wireless call or message and return choices particular to a facility. On receiving a selected choice, the server may return information particular to a part of said given facility. The information may be a marketing incentive, marketing information, or a promotion.
Abstract:
A multi-phase system for creating a metallic effect on a substrate, comprising applying to the substrate a first ink jet ink comprising a dispersion of reflective metallic particles in a suitable carrier system, to form a reflective coating layer; and applying a second ink jet ink over the reflective coating layer to form a protective coating layer. Optionally, an undercoat layer is printed on the substrate prior to applying the first ink jet ink. The second ink jet comprises at least one crosslinkable polymer or is otherwise energy curable. The second ink jet ink optionally imparts a color to the metallic image.
Abstract:
An apparatus for dynamic diversity signal reception based upon receiver-side link quality assessments includes two or more antennae. At least one switch is connected to the two or more antennae. A dynamic diversity controller is connected to the at least one switch. The dynamic diversity controller includes a link quality assessor to assess link quality and generate a link characterization value. A diversity configuration selector, responsive to the link characterization value, selectively activates the at least one switch to implement a dynamic diversity configuration. The link quality assessor includes a signal strength analyzer, a modem detector, and/or a MAC layer analyzer to assess the received signal and generate the link characterization value.
Abstract:
A beverage formulation comprising a beverage having caffeine wherein the beverage contains caffeine levels in the range of about 0.07 to about 0.30 mg/ml, being optically clear, and having an added aroma; and wherein the beverage comprises an extract that is derived from at least one member of the group consisting of coffee cherry husks and coffee cherry pulp; wherein the extract is in the range of about 5 to about 30% based on standardized extract of the beverage; wherein at least a portion of the caffeine is derived from the extract; wherein the optically clear is measured by a haze value of at least below about 10; and wherein at least a portion of the added aroma is derived from aroma recovered from the extract.
Abstract:
This invention relates to pyrazole derivatives of formula (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates or derivative thereof, wherein R1 to R4 are defined in the description, and to processes for the preparation thereof, intermediates used in their preparation of, compositions containing them and the uses of such derivatives. The compounds of the present invention bind to the enzyme reverse transcriptase and are modulators, especially inhibitors thereof. As such the compounds of the present invention are useful in the treatment of a variety of disorders including those in which the inhibition of reverse transcriptase is implicated. Disorders of interest include those caused by Human Immunodificiency Virus (HIV) and genetically related retroviruses, such as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
Abstract:
A telephone is disclosed which comprises a memory (6) for storing first information, such as ID information, and a memory module receiver (10) for removably receiving a memory module for storing second information, such as ID information. The telephone also comprises a microprocessor (4) for detecting a change in contact between the memory module and the memory module receiver (10) since the previous use of the telephone. The microprocessor (4) uses the first information when the memory module and receiving means are not in contact and the second information when memory module and receiving means are in contact whilst there is no change detected. However, when a change is detected, the information to be used by the microprocessor (4) is selected, either automatically or manually.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for increasing the methane recovery rate through a wellbore which penetrates a coal seam. The invention utilizes the cavitation of the coal seam surrounding the wellbore after a substantial percentage of the original methane-in-place which is available for recovery from the wellbore has been recovered from the coal seam.
Abstract:
Devices, systems, and methods, include an oxygen delivery device that includes an oxygen delivery module, at least one sensor to detect patient breathing, and a controller configured to control the oxygen delivery module to cause the oxygen delivery module to deliver oxygen to the patient based on data from the at least one sensor such that in response to a determination, based on data from the at least one sensor, that no breathing is detected for a first pre-determined period of time, the controller causes the oxygen delivery module to deliver oxygen to the patient in continuous flow mode, and in response to a determination, based on additional data from the at least one sensor, that breathing is detected for a second period of time, the controller causes the oxygen delivery module to deliver oxygen to the patient in a pulse flow mode.
Abstract:
A radio network control method that allows uplink signals transmitted by a mobile station to be received by two or more selected base station radio systems and then combined, thus providing receiver diversity. The method requires measurement of radio link qualities of the OFDM signals passing between mobile station and base station radio system. The method is selectively applied to individual mobile stations and for each mobile station to a selection from the available base station radio systems—the selection being based upon the relative and/or absolute measurements of radio link qualities.
