摘要: Transistors are fabricated by forming a nitride-based semiconductor barrier layer on a nitride-based semiconductor channel layer and forming a protective layer on a gate region of the nitride-based semiconductor barrier layer. Patterned ohmic contact metal regions are formed on the barrier layer and annealed to provide first and second ohmic contacts. The annealing is carried out with the protective layer on the gate region. A gate contact is also formed on the gate region of the barrier layer. Transistors having protective layer in the gate region are also provided as are transistors having a barrier layer with a sheet resistance substantially the same as an as-grown sheet resistance of the barrier layer.

摘要: The present invention 10 discloses a hydraulic seat lift 20 for an all-terrain vehicle 26 having the driver's seat 16 located on a top portion of a platform 20 and the superior end of the hydraulic scissor-lift mechanism 44 fastened to a side portion of the platform 20 in a manner that would raise the driver seated on the platform as the hydraulic scissor-lift mechanism 44 is extended and would lower the operator as it retracts. The hydraulic scissor-lift mechanism comprises two hydraulically powered scissor-lifts 44 located on opposing sides of the seat lift platform 20 with each scissor-lift comprising inversely paired diagonal cross-members that are medially connected to one another with the distal ends of each pair of cross-members pivotably connected to the distal ends of the next pair of cross-members which can be repeated to form a vertically stacked series of interconnected cross-members. Each end of a scissor-lift 44 has the distal end of one cross-member attached to a stationary scissor pin 52 to remain in a fixed position while its opposite cross-member slides within an elongated recess 68 on a scissor roller 64 when an attached hydraulic lift bar 62 is driven by a hydraulic piston 60 to increase or decrease the distance between the two ends thereby extending or retracting the scissor-lift 44 accordingly.

摘要: A holder that mounts to a surface and interchangeably displays a sheet of material. The holder includes a back plate that is vertically mounted to the surface and holds the sheet of material and a front plate that is replaceably mounted to the back plate and sandwiches the sheet of material therebetween. The back plate has a border element that is substantially U-shaped and has vertical portions with channels therein that hold the front plate and the sheet of material, and a slot that is substantially U-shaped and prevents distortion during molding thereof. The front plate is transparent so as to allow the sheet of material to be visible therethrough and has a pair of vertical edges with shoulders thereon that engage in the channels in the back plate, respectively. The sheet of material is slid into the back plate and the front plate is slid into the back plate, by virtue of the shoulders of the front plate sliding in the channels in the back plate, and captures the sheet of material therebetween.

摘要: A sample coupon of known dimensions is immersed in the electroless plating bath. Immersion time can extend for the life of the bath. The coupon is attached to a load-cell which incorporates strain-gauge technology. The millivolt output of the load-cell to galvanometer displays weight gain at chosen intervals (e.g., 1 minute), and can signal operator if weight gain is less than the chart contained in engineering specifications to make replenishment additions defined in specification. The galvanometer output, with specialized software to computer traces weight gain profile providing data for actuating valves (e.g., proportionating pump) and provides hard-copy quality control record. Control of this one chemical replenishment parameter is sufficient to give real time process optimization and minimizes auto-catalytic breakdown. Instruments can be positioned in controlled environment.

摘要: Phosphate ore is concentrated by flotation in the presence of a half-ester of an organic dicarboxylic acid, such as maleic acid, with a saturated aliphatic alcohol containing at least 11 carbon atoms. Water and oil also are present. The half-ester may be partly neutralized, e.g. with caustic soda, in an amount at most sufficient to raise the pH to 7.0.
