Abstract: An example electronic device includes memory for storing a program for unlocking the first electronic device using a wearable electronic device; wireless communication circuitry; and one or more processors configured to execute the program stored in the memory to cause the electronic device to at least establish wireless communication, via the wireless communication circuitry, with the wearable electronic device when the wearable electronic device is in a wireless communication range of the first electronic device; determine whether the wearable second electronic device is authenticated for unlocking the first electronic device; determine whether the wearable electronic device is in a specific range of the first electronic device based on a signal transmitted from the wearable electronic device being worn; and unlock the first electronic device based on determining that the wearable electronic device is authenticated and is in the specific range of the electronic device.

Abstract: An electronic device and a power control method of an electronic device are provided. The electronic device may include: a communication circuit including a first circuit configured to perform first communication and a second circuit configured to perform second communication; a processor electrically connected to the communication circuit; and a memory electrically connected to the processor, wherein, the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform operations comprising: controlling the first circuit to operate according to a first power control mode associated with the first communication, and controlling the second circuit to operate according to a second power control mode associated with the second communication when the first communication and the second communication are concurrently performed through the first circuit and the second circuit; identifying a first sleep period during which the first circuit operates in a sleep mode according to the first power control mode, and a second sleep period during which the second circuit operates in the sleep mode according to the second power control mode; and controlling the communication circuit to operate in a deep sleep mode in which the communication circuit operates with power that is less than or equal to a predetermined power in a period where the first sleep period and the second sleep period coincide.

Abstract: The electronic device according to various embodiments may comprise: a housing; a universal serial bus (USB) connector connected or integrated with the housing; a wireless communication circuit located inside the housing; a processor that is located inside the housing and electrically connected to the USB connector and the wireless communication circuit; and a memory that is located inside the housing and electrically connected to the processor. The memory, when in operation, may store instructions for the processor to determine that the USB connector is electrically connected to a first external electronic device having an identifier, receive the identifier from the first external electronic device via the USB connector, generate a wireless signal packet comprising the identifier, receive a probe request from a second external electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, transmit the wireless signal packet to the second external electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, and configure a wireless communication channel with the second external electronic device, after transmitting the wireless signal packet. Other various embodiments are possible.
