A vehicle includes a motor generator for generating driving power for running by using electric power from a power storage device, and an ECU for controlling the motor generator. When user request power is substantially constant, the ECU causes an interval operation of running the vehicle to be performed, the interval operation switching between a first running pattern (coasting running) in which the generation of the driving power by the motor generator is stopped and the vehicle runs with inertial force of the vehicle, and a second running pattern (acceleration running) in which the vehicle runs with the driving power generated by the motor generator. As a result, energy efficiency of the vehicle is improved.

To restrict data transmission to a mobile terminal according to a location of the mobile terminal when the mobile terminal requests data to a second computer, the mobile terminal does not log in the second computer. A communication method for a communication system having a first computer and the second computer, the first computer sends location information of the mobile terminal to the second computer, and the second computer controls data which is to be sent to the first computer according to an access right based on a predetermined location information by referring to received location information. Thereby, it can be controlled data sent to the mobile terminal.

A control apparatus for a power unit equipped with an internal combustion engine and outputs a power. The control apparatus according to the invention starts engine operation when the required power becomes equal to or larger than an engine start threshold during engine stop, and stops engine operation when the required power becomes equal to or smaller than an engine stop threshold during engine operation. The internal combustion engine is equipped with a catalyst. When the purification capacity of the catalyst is lower than a start threshold correction threshold, a value smaller than a reference engine start threshold is set as the engine start threshold. When the purification capacity of the catalyst is equal to or higher than the start threshold correction threshold, a value equal to the reference engine start threshold or a value larger than the reference engine start threshold is set as the engine start threshold.

Each of the volumes stores only the difference data from a volume that is a parent thereof. A volume that is a cause of a problem is moved or copied from a pool of the moment 1410 to other pool 1420. A configuration of a volume group is modified.

A second storage system (SS2) comprises a plurality of tapes, a first storage device capable of performing random access at a rate higher than the tapes, and a virtual storage device emulating the first storage device. A first storage system (SS1) comprises a second storage device and a third storage device that has the virtual storage device mapped therewith. The SS2 reserves a storage space on the first storage device and reads data from the tape corresponding to the virtual storage device into the storage space. The SS1 performs copying between the second storage device and third storage device and, in this process, sends a command for access generated in the third storage device to the virtual storage device. When receiving the Access Command corresponding to the virtual storage device, the SS2 accesses the storage space.

The shutter plates 106 and the shutter plates 116 are individually actuated and controlled to increase the amount of the outside air to be introduced by the outside air introduction assembly 104 and the amount of the outside air to be introduced by the outside air introduction assembly 114 with an increase of temperature of cooling water detected as a cooling water temperature Twe in the engine cooling system. Such actuation and control assures the adequate cooling performances to cool down the cooling water by the radiator 92 and to cool down the engine 22.
